I did , flew back to the states on the 26TH. The security check point line wrapped around and ended all the way down the terminal by the exit tax area. The only good thing for me was the system was up again when I got in line. It moved fairly quick considering the situation, it took me about a hour and half. Craziness - but I made my flight and it only departed about 20 minutes. I guess it was a much longer wait for arrivals. ouch!

guess it was a 1-day fluke of bad luck. I zipped in-out, coming & going last week.

while not directly related to this delay, sounds like the immigration delay complaints made it to the decision makers

I am so, SOOO glad I cancelled my trip to SJO in favor of PTY (where they have their shit together). SJO - God Bless but from what I read was enough to keep me away for ANOTHER YEAR. PTY - Here we come again with NO regrets.

Same BS on 1.30.2019 at 1pm. It took longer to get from SJO to the hotel than it did from IAH to SJO. F-in United!!! Got on the plane in IAH waited 20 min then had to de-plane & wait 2 hours for another plane. When we finally got in, the line was so backed up it was almost to the exit ramp that dumps into the line from the hallway.

3.1.2019 maybe 1 hour wait, about 5-6 lines deep. Not as bad but still the 2nd longest wait I've had.

Just FYI. same issue on Feb 14th; Landed like 2pm

I usually land like 8pm, never have issues at that time.

So I guess avoid mid weekday afternoons if possible.

2 April: Plane touched down at 1:50 PM. I was at Hotel La Amistad at 2:50 PM. Absolutely no delays.
