So i've never used any of this stuff. Whats the routine, do you pop it about 30 minutes before hand?
Yes. Viagra and Levitra are taken about 30-60 minutes prior and the effect lasts about 6-8 hours. Cialis the effect lasts up to 18 hours but may take longer to kick in (my experience).
Side effects are (besides erections) flushed face, runny nose, headaches, and in some cases temporary blindness and / or priapism (erections that won't go away). People react differently. I cut 100 mg Viagras in half or even quarters.
All ED medications are basically blood pressure medications where a significant side effect was increasing blood flow to the penis causing erections so those drugs got repurposed to be boner pills.
Do you need it? Before I had prostate cancer and surgery I didn't. If you have occasional or frequent erectile dysfunction due to age, poor health, poor diet, stress or heavy drinking drug use then it helps, but the underlying causes are still there.
If you are 20ish and get hard all the time, you probably don't need it. If you are taken it "recreationally" just to see what it does and you don't need it it may not "enhance" anything (you will get an erection that lasts longer but it doesn't cause mind-blowing orgasms or anything - some people experience retarded ejaculation - the inability to orgasm).
