I'll be staying at Castillo. For pickups in HDR and SL, do you find that talent expects a cab for such a short distance or will I be fine walking back with them? Not a money thing at all more of a, I can't stand the thought of waiting for / jumping in a cab when I can walk there faster thing.

Long, uneven walk for a Chica in heels. You might talk one into walking, but I'll bet it affects her performance in the sack! Try Uber.

From the SL? Most will walk but there's all those helpful drivers outside... I'm sure they'll give you a lift for $1. ETA: the distance is to short to make it worth an Uber driver's time.

From the HDR? Again, all those 'helpful' cabbies... and pirate taxis (who are all phucking thieves). Getting an Uber at the HDR is problematic as taxistas attack Uber drivers. You'd have to go up by the Parque Morazan entrance to the Key Largo.

Flag down a cab on Avenida 1. Ignore all the ladrone taxistas on Calle 9. Make sure the taxi has a meter. and he turns it on! It should be slightly less than CRC 700 back to the Castillo. Right on Calle 5, right on Avenida 7, left just after the INS (between the INS and the Casa Amarilla) and left on Avenida 9 and you are there. Don't let the lying asshole taxista take you for a ride around centro - and be prepared to give him directions since no taxista knows where anything is. Pay in CRC and have small bills.

What MM3 says...emphasis on the small bills. Always keep 2-3 reds on you when making a move to grab a cab on ave 1 and not the ones parked there.

I have not met one chica that will walk from HDR to Castillo, SL or Amostad. Time is money. They will walk from SL to Castillo or LA usually, if weather is dry. If they get prissy about that walk then be prepared for potential issues in the room

I've done both: cab and walk. I actually prefer to walk. It gives you a chance to talk and get acquainted. However, the deciding factor will be, believe it or not, her shoes. High heels = taxi. Sneakers or flats = ok to walk.
