I have now officially lost count of the number of trips I've made to Costa Rica since 2004, but they have been numerous.

I am returning October 6-20, 2018, a two-week stay. I'm not sure exactly why I chose to stay for so long; part of it involved airline prices from MSP <--> SJO running above the $1000.00 threshold for main cabin, no perqs, and by booking a trip of this length, I was able to upgrade. I will be staying at the Sportsmen's, although the good ladies at the reception desk have informed me that I'll have to play room roulette for a couple nights and will have to move perhaps twice during my two week stay.

I am coming down in part, to finish up some uncompleted business, and I won't be able to rock and roll all night and party ev-er-y-day... but I'm sure I'll have time to lift a glass with fellow CRT'ers with whom I have forged friendships over the course of 14 years, and new ones too.

I won't see you  so look for the clean shaven, grey haired blind gentleman speaking good Spanish and maybe reading the girls' palms...

Don PapĂ, Dr. Mario, Pacifica55, Mad Hatter, Cayu (spelling?) and anyone else from my sordid history in C.R., please look me up. For at least a couple of you, dinner is on me.

I have a few goals this trip. I'd like to visit Club Alcazar and the Pirate Club, if its still open. I need to explore the salas a bit more than I have in the past. Perhaps I'll try to sit in with the band at the Key Largo, now that Bilko has taken his musical talents elsewhere. Maybe I'll finally take that coffee plantation tour... We'll see. Rest assured, my trip report will be entertaining at least.

El Ciego,

Once again we will be proud to host you at Sportsmens Lodge....
Sorry about the projected room changes, however quite often by the time of your arrival with some cancellations, which are normal and routine, we might be able to limit the hassle by keeping you in the same room....time will tell!

Safe Travels,
Bill

Bill....

I did book quite late, and God bless Cynthia who was not only able to find room for me, but even managed to put me into my favorite room for most of my stay. No problems...it's always interesting in fact, to break up my stay between a couple SL rooms; I've written before that for me, each has its advantages. Looking forward to seeing you, Papa Bill and Daniel, as well as all my other SL friends. Be well my friend. The first one's on you....
