Its a puta thing not limited to Costa Rica. They do the same in Colombia, first hand knowledge, and hear that Filipinas are good at it too. When they fb or email or text or whatever requesting money, just cut and paste this for the response....

Or you can tell her you have to clear sending her money with your financial advisor, a lady named Nancy Reagan, and here's her response....

Sometimes learning the hard way is the best. Many of us have been used and confused due to good intensions and thinking with our heart rather than our head or maybe thinking with the little guy or whatever you have but it takes a man to admit his mistake and pass on good advice.

Some awesome and funny ways to say no. Since they have many stories we can use many ways to say no.

For older guys like myself, an old dog can still learn a new trick. Just say no. Woody Woodpecker would never go to Western Union and if you can't believe Woody, who can you believe?

Man am I glad I found this forum!
Took my first trip to CR Jan 19 -25 met this beauty at Cocal and we had a few good times. Now I'm back home and while she hasn't flat out asked me for money she has stated that she was sad because she didn't have enough for rent and was looking for someone to take care of her financially blah blah blah.

I must admit that for a moment I almost....almost...fell for it. When youre 62 and haven't had that kind of talent riding you in a LONG time it could be easy to misinterpret the moment and every thing they say to you.

Those few seconds passed and I got a grip on reality.

Bdk101,

Welcome to forum and glad you had good first trip! I fell in love with a chica from Idem on my first trip some 15 years ago or so...even called the consulate for VISA info to bring her back (as an au pair)....

Take a few more trips brother and it all gets easier and easier and all starts to make a little sense (as in most chicas all play the same game and do/say the same shit!

Meta game! Pura Vida baby!

By the way, This was an excellent original post. Great stuff! Thank you.

Maybe it's a puta thing....or maybe it's not. Maybe it depends on where you are. I've started to go to Tijuana more often and I've exchanged numbers with the putas there for communication on whatsapp (I'm not saying it's the smartest move), and not one girl from Tijuana has asked me to send her money. Meanwhile, a lot of the ticas won't hesitate to do it.

Yeah she was a little chunky but cute back in 2006, but she scrubbed up well afterwards.

Thanks man. I've already got next Jan scheduled and will definitely be going sometime before then.

Another funny little story from the first trip... read a lot about Cocal on this site so I knew that was a place I wanted to hit. Nothing prepares you for the first time you walk into that place. I was thinking "what the actual Phuck is this??" Those chicas are like piranha, I have to admit that it was intimidating at first. In the states you spend all you time chasing & chasing, playing that whole game. This place 180 degrees opposite.

I acclimated fairly quickly.
