The SL van runs about 35 fro the airport and 30 for return. Are the Taxis much cheaper? And which is the best one to use?

Orange taxi cheaper but Uber is $11

Martin from SL always brought a stocked cooler. I dont think he drives for SL anymore but not sure if others like Francisco have coolers stocked. So for $30 you get a known driver and a few beers in route

I like the SL option, because it puts you into the SL vibe immediately as you go there, and you know the driver won't be pulling anything in terms of fake traffic situations, and lastly.. the booze ( if that's supplied 0

When I walk into the chaotic scene outside arrivals, it is nice to see a sign with my name on it and a familiar face.

Orange taxi inside the arrivals lounge will charge about $35. Only good thing is you can pay them with your credit card.
The SL van rate is the same.
Uber is cheaper as others have mentioned above.
Sometimes whatsApp and Uber app. do not work well with the airport wi-fi.

Best reason to have a CR phone with a CR SIM.

I agree with you but the one time I walked out of the international airport in Carcas in 2005 it was pure bedlam. I was shoving people out of my way.
