Hey fellas, making my first trip to CR next week for my 30th birthday!!! Appreciate any advice on what you think I should do I still have not booked rooms or paid for any activities. Curious on how much cash I need to brin, best place to stay, whether it’s worth it to go to Jaco are not, Best girls the pick, use tinder or LatinAmerican Cupid.com or not, Airbnb or not, good day activities, and where to have the most fun for your buck. Making this trip solo, so if anybody wants to tagalong that is cool and gives their drink on hit me up. Also, curious if anyone’s ever gotten multiple girls at once. Kind of my bucket list for the actual 30th birthday night

Hey welcome and Happy early Bday! I would have loved to hang with you but I'm making my own solo trip tomorrow 8/15 - 8/20... I am 32 y/o male and I always manage to have tons of fun!

If its your first time I would recommend getting a taxi from the airport to either the Hotel Del Rey or the Sportsmens Lodge. The taxi should be about 15.000c ($30) maybe as low as 10 or as high as 20 =/

Anyways, do a little research - basically anything can be had. The girls are lovely, drinks are (relatively) cheap compared to big city US and the scenery is also pretty dope.

Jaco is definitely worth checking out. Don't use any apps; If you're coming to get busy you will have the look about you that will attract those that are game; the last time I was in Jaco the disco by the beach was still open and the Chicas would just come up to you and grab you by the package. . . Ahhhhh yessss, my first "Dominican Experience" hahaha. . .

Definitely DO get WHATSAPP; so that if you do MEET some chicas (which you will) you can get the digits and hook up later or keep in touch if you meet someone you enjoy. Additional fyi: Wifi is everywhere in CR.

Airbnb and hostelworld have some great deals. I like to touch down, and stay in a hostel the first night... Then I'll go and check out the scene at the HDR and SL and if i see something I like or feel a nice vibe maybe decide to get a room there a night or 2 and then just move my stuff over from the hostel.

The Costa Rica Backpackers Hostel at: Avenida 6, Calle 21/25 is within walking distance of the HDR. Though even on Halloween weekend last year, I was able to walk into the HDR with no reservation and book a room same day.

As far as pocket money. . . You gotta be careful, cause it's not hard to spend $600 a day here in search of a good time. However, with that said it's also possible to have a GREAT TIME and only spend $120 or so a day. I went solo for my own birthday last year and got a little out of control with my spending - almost 3k in like 10 days!!

Anyways, have a great time! I land tomorrow and I will try and provide updates when i touch down as to what the scene looks like.

Decided to take a trip down to Manuell Antonio for two nights and hit up Jaco on the way back to San Jose on Friday at the Crocs Casino. My birthday is actually on August 25 which is a Saturday that I will spend at the Del Rey before catching my flight out on Sunday. So, any members on here that will be there on Saturday, August 25 hmu. Definitely aiming for a three some on Friday and/or Saturday. Also, going to check out Sportsmens lounge on Tuesday when I land.Let me know how your trip goes and I hope you have lots of luck. Also, any idea on where to pick up local girls in the gringo go to area that are not P2P. Once the trip is complete I will get back on here and tell you everything I learned and how it went. I will be staying in the room called Amistad, not the hotel Amistad up the street. That is a separate hotel. The Sportsmens just happens to have a room with the same name. You mentioned Crocs Casino in Jaco on your way back from Manuel Antonio. It is a fine hotel, but is no longer Chica friendly. If your intent is to bring chicas back to your room from Cocal you should find a chica friendly option in Jaco.

When you say it’s not Chica friendly, are no girls allowed to be traveling with you if you were a single man? I made the reservation for three. Will that matter? I will have one girl traveling with me and another girl meeting us there for a threesome that night. How does the no Chica rule actually work?

If you are registering them all when you register, that's probably different, but you better verify. They aren't allowing non-registered guests (i.e., a guest goes to the Cocal and comes back with a girl).

The staff at Croc’s are upfront at check in...no guest’s allowed.
You might have a shot if she’s available with you at time of check in...seems some front desk staff are tougher than others on that end.

Your only shot is arriving with your guest during the check-inn process. Enter the reception area together and have her ID ready and act like a couple. Make sure she is dressed casual smart, it helps. As far as the second lady, good luck it will take an act of congress for her to sniff your room.

I am intrigued by what would happen if a "trouple" checked in together.

Wow, if all this is true I’m in a need to cancel hotel get something different. And it wasn’t cheap. Pretty much the cost of the girls LOL even if I had both girls check in with me not possible? One or if this is something I can call ahead about or what are raise suspicions

Try this, leave your registered guest in your room for an hour or two and return to the hotel with the second girl and make your way to your room asap. If security stops you tell them she is registered and for them to check with the front desk and proceed to your room. If your not comfortable pulling the ol switch a roo go ahead and cancel and save the headache.

Fracinoff37 i I just booked the same dates, all at the SL... my "virgin" SJ trip. Hopefully we'll run into each other, swap stories and perhaps a drink or two.

Do the two girls know each other? If so the one that arrives with you could meet the other in lobby and you stay in the room, if you run into a problem you always say the third person on the reservation is related to the girl to fall back on
