I'm traveling to CR for the first time in November. I'm planning on staying at the Sportsmens. Any advice on what to expect during the month of November? Is this a good time of year to visit? What is the weather like? Are there still plenty of other tourists and Ticas around?

I've reviewed the forum and found much useful advise. One thing most people can't seem to agree on is how much the chicas normally charge. I guess there's a price difference depending on how attractive she is versus how attractive you are. lol. Seems like at the low end, $60 a visit. High end $100? Does that sound about right?

Thanks in advance for your help

November is the tail end of the rainy season. There might be some afternoon, early evening rain. No big deal, it doesn’t last long. Bring a raincoat or umbrella or just don’t worry about getting wet. I usually just stay where I’m at, have another beer, and wait it out.

SJ has some elevation and temperatures stay consistent all year, average highs are mid-upper 70s all year. The beach is considerably hotter.

Personally I never worry about rainy season. It certainly has no any effect on the number of chicas that are around. They live here year-round and need to pay rent every month. November should be no problem. I will be at SL towards the end of November.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not really that worried about the rain so much as I am worried no one's going to be around. I hear Christmas is the worst time to visit because it's at the height of high season and most chicas go home to visit families. As long as there's plenty of trouble for me to get into during my visit I'll be happy.

Yes.

Only pay cien if she's 9 or 10 in looks as far as you're concerned, is sweet, fun, you feel like you click, and she's agreed to all your requests, or most of them, and it's good enough for you.

I currently have two favorites that fulfill that description and they only get $80 from me and no clockwatching allowed.

If you go to highly recommended Monica's, it's 20k colones and about (your choice) 10k colones tip for pretty much all your requests and one hour, that's under $60 and many superb beauties and proven performers abound.

Never pay up front, make it clear you pay afterwards.

if your November trip includes the Thanksgiving weekend, be aware that many people visit over that holiday weekend and the better rooms go fast, don't wait too long to book a room.
The Lodge does offer a Thanksgiving day dinner.

As you get closer to Christmas the girls are more motivated in order to make more $$$ for their Christmas shopping. I have often traveled from late November (right after Thanksgiving) into mid-December and that has always been my most favorite time to travel.

I will be down the first weekend of November with some newbs for a bachelor party. Does anybody know yet if Sportsmens will be offering their usual green season discount this year?

I thought it was the end of green season. Last time I made it to CR, Bill was running a special from September through November similar to the Summer special going on now.

I'm not in need of that extra discount, just thought it'd leave a little more money in the pocket for fun.

Anyway, I'm going to be booking my room tomorrow regardless.

Does anyone know what day Sportsmen's Halloween party will be on?
