I nominate Right Hand Man's Virgin trip report... very good stuff!

And a caveat, to the GR nomination...I suggest ALL his reports on that one trip be considered as one nomination... they would be incomplete without considering all of them as one or just having one of the 5 reports be nominated alone.

i nominate the random post i made on someone else's thread a couple nights ago after a crappy day at work, a long night of binge drinking with at least fifteen minutes dedicated to gringa bashing an american girl right to her face while my buddy laughed, her friends scoffed, and i plugged my ears while she bitched stammering the words "pura vida" over and over till she went away.... 17 days to go

Without Doubt,
CIRCUS posting about the 2008 CRT anniversary convention is a Classic
post not just for post of the Month , but also of the Year.

He also deserves an award as the most entertaining, funny, cynical, satirical poster ever on this CRT board. {As previously on CRS }

Cygnus

As Circus has stated publically that he will accept no awards...

I won't nominate Circus' 5th Anniversary Post, as tempting as it is.

I nominate Prolijo for consistent verbosity above and beyond the call of booty - duty; incidentally, his correct, accurate and very thoughtful answers are highly valuable for newbies and veterans alike. I would have nominated Prolijo for the map project alone, but knowing that he's had a lot of help on that project, I choose instead to nominate him for overall informational value and numbers of words per post.
 Tedious, but informative!

y nada mas, solo circus, the guy deserves it!!! And cygnus, I agree , he deserves post of the decade!!! We have to go back a board or 2, but HE IS THE MAN!!!! If circus thinks I could possibly be up for "bueno chico" circa 2008, then he has my vote. I love him, respect him, am a student of his, and the day he dies, so goes my heart and soul!! LONG LIVE THE MAN!!

Rather than "OPost of the Month," why not "Poster of the Month?"

Some guys like RHM can score big with a first trip report (it was brilliant).

Other guys steadily trudge on through, answering questions for newbies, etc. (Ding Dong, Prolijo, El Ciego and many more)

Some write very humorous stuff with a lot of wisdom buried within (Circus)

Some phuckers are just plain outrageous (fill in the blank with 100 possibilities, including but not limited to the Nuck, Hand-Solo, Paco Loco and others)

Some are natural referrees (you know who you are).

Why not an award for overall input to the Forums
?

Probably too late in the game to shift focus, but this month in particular, it's tough to pick a favorite. I'd nominate myself for the PoonStar post to Scuba's "Heart of Darkness" thread, if I were less modest. :D

Just a thought...

Is there a post that was informational and interesting this month, or just the usual trip report that is good for its purient interest? About a decade ago I used to post trip reports on WSG too and I thought I was helpful. Now that is the last section I read, since I'd rather hear about a new restaurant or what bus to catch somewhere. Excellent work, like the maps or MP/Club lists certainly deserves a great deal of credit and I'll be glad to vote on them. A "get a load of the tits on that one" post is no longer very interesting to me.

Veelee,
I'm sort of with you on that. I rarely read trip reports either, preferring posts that trade info and ideas rather than ones that are primarily meant for entertainment value. Most of the post of the month nominations seem to come from the trip reports and half the time I feel unqualified to vote for one because I haven't read them.

I like El C's idea of "poster of the month" instead of "post of the month" since that is usually easier to judge. And I would like to nominate El C himself as one such poster deserving of an award since he is arguably the top poster here NOT YET to have received one. Heck having patience handling newbie questions has got to be worth something. I'm just not sure if I want to nominate him this month since I want to win that hotel stay myself and the competition is already stiff as it is. :P

Tell me, how many of us would be hanging around here but for the "prurient interest." Information is great for newbies, but after you've been there a few times, there isn't a whole lot more to learn, as least as far as mongering goes.

I actually very much enjoy the sizzle, and the trip reports are mostly where you find it. If anything, there aren't nearly enough of them posted. And the ones that manage to walk that fine line - where you're made to appreciate how hot the experience was without the poster crossing over into bragging, hyperbole, or language demeaning to the chicas, are truly to be treasured.

In that spirit, I have two nominations for this month - first Dave's "Spa Day at Zona Blue" post, and then (of course) Ruffnutz's "Trip #5 Report" (c'mon, you can never win this too many times...).

Good luck gentlemongers!

Dave's Spa day post. I'm just jealous because I didn't think of it first!

That's fairly straightforward. I am glad to be nominated by someone. I think that when mongers/hobbyists/girl grubbers write lengthy, interesting posts it takes time, effort, and energy. Big props to everyone young and old, you make this great forum what it is... well we're not exactly sure what that is... but nevertheless...

It's getting hot and heavy with everyone eyeballing that pretty tiara.

Nice hair, hope you win!

I would also like to nominate Ruffnutz's "Zona Blue and Cigar Bar Review" post. Great job cataloging all the recent upgrades to the facility, and even better job handicapping the chicas - the very model for how this type of review should be done.

I would have also nominated Right Hand Man's trip report, but someone else beat me to it - humorous and incisive.
