Hi All,

My friend and I are traveling for the 1st time to CR and we were debating whether to stay in San Jose or Jaco. We are coming around the Presidents Day weekend in Feb. I know someone that went to Jaco (13 guys in a Villa) and they said they had a crazy time. But I think their experience might have been a little different because of the size of the group.

I have a couple of questions:

1. Is it safe to Airbnb (San Jose or Jaco)? We would like to have company for overnights when possible.

2. We also want to do some day-time activities like zip-lining and ATV. Is it better to stay in San Jose or Jaco?

3. Which place has the better food? :)

4. Which area has more options and company with better attitude (I know it can vary no matter where you are) ?

We would prefer to be near the airport but if Jaco is worth it for the view and the atmosphere, we don't mind going out. Thanks in advance.

San José has more options and you can take a day trip to do ATV ir zip lining. Food is the same more or less. Stay at Amistad or Castillo, pay $10 extra a day for all inclusive, the food is solid

I got back from San Jose 2 weeks ago and stayed at an AirBNB that was about 150 yards due south of HDR. It was clean and safe, and no problem getting chicas in every night, although I would advise waiting until after 7 PM. They even arranged airport transfers for me, $30 from the airport and $25 to the airport, which I believe is the going rate for anywhere in SJ.

its your first time just stay in Sj depending on how long you will be there
as far as attitude the Jaco girls have lots of it and if TLN's are the goal then SJ is probably better since the gals in jaco are going for numbers of clients per hour
isn't this the second post w the same questions?

Yes, I accidentally posted on an another thread but it got more responses there so I continued the conversation there.

I like attitude...lol but we’ve booked an Airbnb in Jaco (Macaws Ocean Club). I hope that won’t be an issue brining company back. It doesn’t look like it’s too far from cocal. Will still try to get some overnight instead of an hour of two.

Some guys love overnights, I don't know why. You're paying her to snore and kick the blanket off you, fart, piss and possibly crap while in your company. I know, guys say they like morning action. Have her stay 2 to 3 hours max, get your much needed rest, arrange for another one to show up at 7 am if morning wood is your thing.

Now I confess to doing some over nighters but ONLY with girls I've been with repeatedly, know and trust (to a certain degree) and really like as individuals as opposed to a walking female pu**y, tittie, mouth and ass delivery system.

That way you probably end up paying less, get variety, get a good night's rest, and don't risk her slipping something in your drink and wake up buck nekked on your bed, face down with your wallet, passport, keys, money, credit cards, other i.d.'s and watch stolen, which happened to a friend of mine who thought overnight with a strange hoe he picked up was a good idea...

i'll say it
i like the human contact and enjoy having her head on my chest as she falls asleep
that's if she's affectionate like that since you really can't force it
other than the actual spasm its nice to have a little intimacy even if its paid for
probably why i'm open about not being cut out for this game
have to admit to the truth

Like LADiablo I like some human interaction / intimacy. Which is why I have a (when I'm in town) novia.

I trust her and she has a good time with me (2 way street). Developing that in a 20 minute negotiation at a bar? No way.

ETA:. We're going on three years together - but probably less than 45 actual days. She's an absolute outlier and not the norm.

What does the owner's rules on the AirBnB listing say? Have you asked ?

Yes, it’s up to 6 people. And there are 2 of us.

I’ve always had overnight with good and bad times. I’ve also let go of company as well. Maybe I ca get one for a couple of hours and if I am happy, I can call for an overnight. I’ll try that strategy.

Is it worse in DR or CR terms of safety. I always felt safe in DR even though I guess anything can happen anywhere.

Yea, I like overnighters with girls I've been with repeatedly and know and trust, one I had been with 10 years off and on, we visited Arenal and Fortuna often together. Another lived with her parents and she introduced me to them (initially I thought weird  :? ) and the father cut hair in his house for local ticos for 1,000 colones. I became a customer, sometimes I would treat him to lunch at a local soda afterwards.

Can you imagine if that one ever gave me any trouble? I can picture myself saying "Wait 'till your poppi hears about this!!!"

Like the good advice dispensed by MM3 referring to his favorita : "I trust her and she has a good time with me (2 way street). Developing that in a 20 minute negotiation at a bar? No way."

And yes it's great fun if you have one who's intelligent, sweet, sincere, speaks relatively good English that you trust and still fkkksnsuxxx like a buzzz saw...

Anyway, after undoubtedly careful thought and consideration, Amazingmi has developed an interesting strategy, he suggested : "Maybe I ca get one for a couple of hours and if I am happy, I can call for an overnight. I’ll try that strategy."

That's interesting thinking, I suppose if you said to her "I'll pay you so much for a couple hours and if you and I get along great and have a fabulous time, I'm willing to up the ante and the paycheck to XXX$$$, PLUS make breakfast...

Now you have one with a strong incentive to produce and behave and not steal too much...

Me personally, with one I don't know or trust yet, maybe an even better idea would be to say, "If you deliver good and behave for this 2-3 hour session, I'll have you come back at 8 am, 9 am, whatever, and you still get a good night rest and unlikely get Mickey-finned...

most air bnb places are not going to have a safe available to store your valuables. The last thing you need is to find out the next day your passport, cash or credit cards are gone because she cleaned you out while you were sleeping or passed out. Some might even steal an old sheet especially of your name is Netgems.
Find a hiding place or find a way to lock up your luggage.

One advantage to a hotel or secured apartment is the fact that many will copy or record the information on your guest in case something happens, it is often for your protection as it is for the property.

^^^
Yep, esp in Jaco. The risk is not worth the reward and it could cost more than straight dinero if you lose those things...
OP- don’t get stuck on the overnight thing, there is always the next day to begin fresh

The place is a gated condo . Its Macaws Ocean Club. I dont know if anybody has stayed there but any information about it would be useful. Getting excited as the date draws closer. We have plenty of space to hide in-case there isnt a safe.
