If you are the new Administrator or Preferably the owner please send me a PM ASAP! We need to discuss a situation that I would prefer not to go public with. If I do not get a response by Wednesday at 6pm Pacific time I will post on CRT for all to see what the issue is. I do not know if Sergio is the person behind the screen name Dangermann but I can only assume so. I know this is not the most polite way to get your attention, but at the moment it is the only method that I know you should read.

I have been trying all day to get ahold of someone in management, but it is really difficult not being in Costa Rica to do anything on my own from the states. I have already been in touch with Lucky13 who used to own it, and Sid who managed it for a while, but so far no luck talking with anyone personally involved with the operation at the moment. All I know is Sergio no longer works there, and apparently he is a bigger part of the problem than he let on.

Hbosbru. Thanks for that info. I did get a copy of a document that had Ricky Felton's name and signature on it so that is very helpful information. Thanks I will contact them both ways.

I talked with Mark at length this morning and a lot of things were done without their being completely informed. I would like to add that both Mark and Rick have been very upfront and have not tried to pass things off as being out of their hands and control, nor are they trying to wash their hands of the situation. As a business owner myself, I know the issues that having dishonest employees can have for a business, they are not making excuses for what happened, and are working with me to make things right. I do not want to get more involved with specifics, as I know there is another party that has access to CRT, and will probably read this thread. I do not think it is wise to tip the hand so another party might get an inside view of what is coming down the table.

Finally if Mark and Rick continue along the path they are on, all of us are going to have a wonderful place to hang our hats and visit for many years to come with Zona2.

I am planning a trip soon and was thinking of staying there but I guess that is a bad idea now? Judging from your post I would assume that no one should stay or go there because the employees are stealing? Would you elaborate on the situation that you experienced? Was it a bad experience, someone stole your credit card numbers, came home with something you did not want?

My favorite place to stay in CR is the penthouse at Zona2. I have a house in CR it is out of the downtown area so when we go into town to party and am driving, I will stay at Zona2 if they have room in the future. My situation has nothing to do with any sort of thievery of credit card numbers, items taken from a room, etc.. The only person that was responsible for my situation no longer works there, and other than doing harm to the business owners I do not know if anyone else has a similar situation. I would absolutely stay at Zona2 in the future and they are my first choice of rooms as I have a particular like of the penthouse, if Zona2 is booked then La Amistad would be my next choice. When I have friends visit depending on their level of being able to take care of themselves and not being self sufficient I either reccommend Zona2 or La Amistad with the All Inclusive option. I am not just saying this because my situation is being taken care of to my satisfaction, but if you search my previous posts you will see I have been reccommending both of them for years.

I miss the way it was too. Having the larger bar and kitchen made for a lot more fun. The first time I stayed in the penthouse I was hooked and loved it with the exception of road noise in the mornings. When it rains the sound of the rain on the metal roof puts me to sleep. The benefit of having the balcony and the space for a party was always a plus, we even had a bbq up there once. Good times.

Is anything going on these days at HLH? I have not seen any recent posts about it. I am trying to decide between Zona2 and Hotel Castillo. The rooms at Castillio all look amazing but I really liked having the ladies in house, it made a difference when adding up the cost of the trip :) I really enjoyed having two ladies up to the room at a time so price wise that was a benefit of staying at HLH years ago.
