I'm coming by myself to CR next month for my first time. I was planning on staying at the HDR Fri night just for the experience. The next day Saturday I was going to go to Jaco for 3 nights and then back to SJ for the last 4 nights. I heard it was the slow rainy season and Jaco might be slow. Do you think 3 nights in Jaco will be too long? I have an airbnb right next to cocal. Any suggestions?

Yeah stay away from CR cause your life will never be the same. No seriously but on a lighter note Jaco is fine since it’s your first time but make sure you are there at least Friday and Saturday cause rest of the days it’s pretty much dead. Also when in San Jose look in hotel Castillo or la amistad(same owner) I stayed there multiple times and their all inclusive is the best and the food OMG. No girls are allowed to lounge around unless they with someone so if you want a hotel with girls around check out sportsmen Lodge

Your first night in Jaco is a Saturday night. Cocal will definitely have many chicas. Sunday and Monday will be slower, but that is the case most anywhere. Was at Cocal three weeks ago. Rainy season doesn’t affect things too much, girls still need to pay the rent.

I will be interested in you experience at the airbnb next to Cocal. Cocal has been significantly raising room rates. Supply and demand. Even at $170 for cheapest room on a weekend in January I had difficulty booking a room last week. Will have to move rooms during my stay, only way they could make it work.
