Hello all,

Can someone help give me an idea of how it is in SJO and JACO around Halloween time (for the people who have been during this time) as far as lodging, partying, socializing, etc please? I have received conflicting information regarding hotels being closed and furious rains.

I plan to come around this time and have only been in August so I'm unaware.

TIA

Sportsmens Lodge best Halloween Party around. Very hard to get a room at that time.

All hotels are usually booked, often 6 months in advance. It's a big holiday for mongers. Try Hotel Morazan, or Vesuvios next to La Amistad.

If you want to come down for Halloween, better drop whatever you're doing and get on the phone now, seriously, that's New Year's Eve, Christmas, July 4th, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Purim and Everybody's birthday all rolled up into one for the Gulch...if you find anything visitor friendly available in the Gulch with the possible exception of Hotel Asia, grab it!

Thanks for the responses guys. Sounds like it being the busiest rainy time makes no difference on the action going on there. Sounds good. I was under the impression that due to all the rain, the place would be a ghost town.

The rainy season usually means rain in the late afternoon or evening and may stop by 8 or 9 PM.
Does not bring business to a standstill.

Quite the opposite brother. As the others have mentioned, it's a sausage fest. :P
