For me, tight budget and 'hide the booze' would be better at La Amistad. The rooms are not as nice, but for $500 total i spent 5 nights there and ate and drank to my delight and that included the room and free drop off at the airport. Of course i spread some money around at the DR and SL on drinks, but saved a chunk of change with the all inclusive (prob $300-$400 value based on 3 meals and standard liquor mixed drinks)
Just a thought.

Hotel Castillo really hooked me up last week, six nights penthouse overlooking the zoo, half all inclusive spent many A night eating and drinking @ Amistad , only problem the sun comes up early in those huge windows. I will get one of the other penthouses next time. If the bar was finished I would just stay in a queen at Castilio. Great location and services, the people working the front desk need a raise

I will be in town the 30th till the 7th. Celebrating another birthday with all my friends at the Sportsmens and chasing all the cuties i know and will get to know. I enjoy the gals behind the bar at the sportsmens as they add the ambiance to the trip when you are in between Chicas.

Just because the HDR was not "up to the mark" on Mother's Day doesn't mean it is always "not up to the mark".

Cool, I will be a block away at Castillo ,will be in and out of SL and Amistad I'm sure.

I'm flying united thru Houston and the airport is closed right now, so we shall see if I even make it on Weds.

Yes, I was just sitting here thinking that I am lucky that my trip was not this week.
My flight also goes thru Houston.
