I always thought that scotland apts were dumpy and the newer ones too expensive.
There is no dump across the street from vista linda. It is an open lot on a dead end street so people like to dump stuff there tico style.
The newer apts at vista linda are nice and good value for the money. Cant beat the no deposit no lease thing. There are also common areas to lounge around , swap war stories, watch tv, with free coffee. Parking and good security.
Anyone who has lived in san jose for a long time knows that calle blancos is not a good area. It has gotten better over the years but still not good. It would be foolish to walk around after dark.
The area around scotland apts is a fast growing trendy area. With plenty of shopping, bars restaurants within walking distance. Far safer in my opinion. A nice area. It would be foolish to not walk around after dark.
