I am sure you all have heard this plenty of times before. What makes my post any more special than others????

Nothing really.

Is it a good idea to link up with vets prior to heading down? I have never been to CR or have ever done any kind of trip like this before. How can I link up with vets that can show me the ropes?

you don't have any experience in p4p at all?

Been into this since 2004ish. So I have the experience, just not internationally.

I forgot to mention I am from Puerto Rico; meaning I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

book a flight, announce your dates in roll call section...
stay at amistad or sportsman lodge..
will be too easy to link up with some vets or figure it out on your own from there...

Going to be a bit of the outlier. Stay at La Amistad. SL is great but in my opinion the atmosphere at the bar at La Amistad (or at breakfast) is more congenial. More discussion (helpful discussion),

That's my opinion.

Otherwise jump in the deep end and enjoy.

Speaking spanish definitely helps the overall experience. You should go. The first time you walk into the Del Rey is an initiation right that all men should go through, IMHO. I'll be there from April 20th to 30th. Let me know if you pull the trigger.

Nice Aqua! That's a good split up the time you have there. I've always love Jaco. Used to surf there in my 20's (where does the time go?). Cocal should be alot of fun. Definitely write about it.

It is the low season, but let's be honest, there really is no low season in CR. Pura Vida!
