I have a reservation at the Presidente, but I'm seriously thinking of it changing it for SL after seeing so many great reviews. I am particularly intrigued by the chicas hanging out there. Can any of you answer some of the following questions:

1) I am not a fan of the Columbianas at the DR. Much prefer a GFE with a semi-pro tica. Are alll the girls at SL ticas?

2) Can any tica wander into the SL and work? Or are they first interviewed and cleared by the SL staff?

3) We have seen two different sets of photos of girls stripping in the SL bar. That looks like great fun. Is this something that happens on a regular basis? When is the best time to go the maximize the chances of seeing this?

4) In general, what is the best time of the day to hang out at the SL bar for meeting ticas?

This is a tough one to answer.
My opinion is that SL management 'discourages' random girls that don't meet some standards (clean, honest, compliant, GFE type, ??), but it is a bar, and not a brothel.

Any deal is between yourself and the girl(s).

Time of day? Probably anytime after 12 noon you may find some activity.
It is not like the DR, where you will always find some talent looking for a connection.
I have seen many times where there is no talent available, other times where there was a half dozen to choose from.
It is more like a very friendly neighborhood pub.
There is ususally live musical entertainment in the evening hours

I canceled my reso at the HDR and after seeing it, very glad I stayed at the Sportsmens Lodge... My speed is quality GFE's, meet the locals, relax on vacation, converse with interesting people. All that found at SL.

Last week, I found the action to be 3pm to 11pm. Late night snacks can be found at the BM. Most BM girls still never heard of the SL. My colombiana hottie was a little uneasy at first about going there. Plenty of taxis and the SL has 24 hour security guard with pistol who will see that she gets a cab back.

HDR / Presidente / downtown more like a Vegas vacation lotsa action 24 hours a day.

Sportsmen Lodge has better girls than Del Ray not as many but they are better looking, better dresse and morepleasant and less aggressive. I was there from 5 - 11 and always found 3 -8 all were doable.

I've already commented extensively about the SL action in my trip reports and other posts, but to answer your questions directly:

There's kind of a grey line regarding the pro/semi-pro distinction. The majority of girls at Sportsmen's these days are pretty much regulars who show up a lot - does that make them pros? Anyways, as others have commented, they are more approachable and have better attitudes than your typical Del Rey chica. They also generally don't dress in that showy, slutty "I'm so hot" way the DR girls do. Haven't met any Columbianas there yet - pretty much Ticas and Nicas.

2) Can any tica wander into the SL and work? Or are they first interviewed and cleared by the SL staff?

Bill Alexander is all about service, and generally makes a point of getting to know the girls that show up there - but, no, there isn't any sort of pre-qualifying ritual. It's an open bar, and the girls work as independents.

It happened a lot while I was there - generally starting out around 8:30 - 9:00 in the evening. Surprisingly, the best night was Wednesday, when it all seemed to happen spontaneously. Several of the girls have worked professionally in strip clubs, and it shows.

4) In general, what is the best time of the day to hang out at the SL bar for meeting ticas?

Daytime regulars show up early afternoon; evenings, anytime from 7pm on - can be hit and miss. Practically nothing going on Sunday at all.

If you are staying for more than 3 or 4 days why not do both unless you have already stayed at the Presidente in the past.

Circus, Thanks for the good advice. I just may split my visit between the two...because I lalso love the Presidente, which, as most of you know, is a very different experience from the DR.

Thanks to everyone for the info on SL. At the very least, I'll spend some time hanging out there, hopefully catching the strip show.

I was there from July 1 throught the 4th and never say anyone in the casino.

No public displays or girls soliciting.
