I'm thinking of heading to the beach with an SB, but I want to maintain my anonymity with her as I don't want her to know my real name. Is this possible in CR? I understand you need to check in with a passport.

First timer, so I'm unsure about the hotel policies and practices.

Just ask the front desk to refer to you as "Mr. Smith." The hotel staff should be able to respect your request for anonymity.

Depending on the size of the hotel all check in will be registered under guests name. Smaller hotels are easier than say Croc's that employees 100+ employees that will get the name from a computer

Good point - staying at a hilton brand at the beach, so probably difficult at best

You can try telling them you are in the Witness Protection Program when you check in and ask them to put your initials in as your name.......

I like the "Mr. Smith" suggestion.

I never give my last name either. When you arrive, get a drink and tell her, "to make yourself comfortable while I get us checked in." and have her chill at a lobby couch while you check in which you can use an alias, request to be called someone different or pay cash. Sure, they'll ask for a passport copy but probably won't ask any questions, and if so, the chica is out of earshot.

It's too easy to mess it up. I have tried going anonymous and have screwed it up everytime. Unless you have spent a lifetime under cover a drivers license, a credit card, a passport, a former acquaintance will screw it un and embarass you. Try to just stick with your first name or nickname then if you get caught you can just shrug it off.

I've gone with first and middle name on occasion. Not the whole truth but easy enough to keep straight. Heck latinos have like 7 names so why can't we. My chica in RD goes by her 2nd name.

I have a wingman that is paranoid about this.

He always brings a handful of business cards he five-fingered from a professional with a similar first or middle name.

He usually shows these to front desk as his mailing address (even though they usually copy passport) and loves handing these out to chicas.

I think he figures if a chica is trying to track him down after fact (pregnant etc) she will have this other guys card and will give up after she calls office etc.

Sometimes he is a dentist, pediatrician, county supervisor, realtor, etc.

Kinda. A cool really. Always thought it would be funny when the owner of the business card received a RFM letter!

Yah,
Kinda thought that would be funny, have some Frank Bravo India business cards due to work related
processes, thought it would be funny to pass out on a trip to girls and fellow mongers, but
something about impersonating a federal officer, ah, just couldn't do it.
