Bar La Cueva del Oso .....perfect for newbies and no spanish
Sir, i'm not looking for a gay bar. if you are trying to be funny then its not. i thought everyone on this are mature and helpful.
Could it be he was motivated by your original question? Think about about it this way - it was as if you had asked, "Hi, could you list some good places I can find unicorns?"
Maybe if you provided some context or additional detail, people would be more helpful.
Consider:
- First of all, San Jose isnt exactly renowned for having good clubs.
- Second, since you didn't provide any details we can only guess you meant regular clubs, not strip clubs or places where only pros hang out (e.g. Hotel Del Rey or Key Largo).
- Thirdly, what kind of atmosphere are you comfortable with? Loud? Lounge? And music... Rock? Reggae? Hip-hop? EDM? Latin (salsa/reggaeton/cumbia/bachata/merengue/latin swing)? Chill? Disco (gasp!)?
- Fourth and most importantly... do you speak Spanish? Can you dance (and I don't mean like a spastic robot with incipient Parkinson's)?
- Fifth - what part of the San Jose Metro area? It's not like San Jose is so small you can throw a baseball from one end of town to the other.
mh
P.S. Try Vertigos, Castros, the 8vo Lounge, Urbano, Santos Gastrobar, Hoxton's Pub, Rapsodia (oops, sorry... just closed), Luxe (oops, also closed), one of the bars on Calle de la Amargura. Or even El Pueblo if you're brave.
