I just joined the site thanks to a good friend of mine who told me that here was everything I needed to know about CR, boy was he right!!
Thank you Orange for your guide, it has come in handy. I just pmed you about a change on the hotels.
I called the Dunn Inn and they said that since about a week ago the have became not chica friendly. I know this because I actually called them. So I booked my room at the SL, and I think I made the right choice.

Nicknames stick...I still have a lot of buddies that call me a shortened version of my original screen name here on CRT that I haven't used in 8 years.

Almost everyone still calls me "Bash". No one remembers my real name.

I made a reservatation with jimmy once, and he wrote me in as "Bash"... the guys checking me in at 2am couldn't find my name for squat. I told him to check Freddy's room, to which he asked me: " are you ... ... Bash???".

Yes! Nicknames stick!

C'mon guys, I think the handle is a reference to Winnie the Pooh....in any case, "caca del oso" or more accurately, "caca de oso" would be "bear poop"!

Back to Español 101!!!

I assume that the actual translation would be "shyt of the bear" (caca de el oso = caca del oso). Do we need the definite article "el" with "oso"?

The word 'del' is the correct way to use it for a masculine noun and means the exact same things as de el. Just as 'Del Rey' means Of The King. It is NOT written De El Rey. It is similar to a contraction in English. Now if it was a feminine noun, it would be two words 'de la' like in 'De La Reina' or 'of the Queen'.
Caca del Rey
Caca de la Reina

Thank you everybody for the warm welcome!!! Yeah Poobear was a joke that some of my college buddies and I had.

I am so new that I didn't even know I had created this topic.

I'll be heading to CR on October 9th and returning on Oct. 17th. It seems like I'll be flying solo since my buddies bailed out on me. They'll be pissed when I come back and show them all the pooss I had there.
DB it would be a pleasure meeting you in SJ, even if you introduce me as "caca de oso" lol. If you are there those dates the first 5 rounds of drinks are on me, thank you for all the tips.

Good food can be found at SL and La Amistad, except for steak. I eat very little red meat, so I can't tell you where to find a good steak. Fish and chicken is very good at both places.
