Has anyone ever used these people before. I'm leaving in a week and a half and about a month ago I exchanged multiple e-mails with Toyota Rent a Car in reserving a Toyota 4Runner. I corresponded with the same agent there..got a confirmation etc. They're supposed to deliver the SUV to me at AMON Plaza. About a week ago I sent an e-mail to "re-confirm" everything since it's close to my departure time and I wanted to make sure everything is still "in order". I've sent 3 e-mails during the last week with no response and I'm wondering whether this is a "reputable" outfit or not. Do I need a back-up plan? Anyone ever used Toyota? Thx.

Have used them for clients a few times. No big problems. Timely drop off last time at Amon Plaza. You also might want to check out 4x4 rentals. Might have a little better price. http://www.4x4rentacar.com/

I used Toyota to rent a hilux back in 1997. no problems back then.

no response to repeated requests to "reconfirm" reservations seems to be a normal business practice in CR

My last 2 trips to CR I used economy rental car both times I got a brand new car with under 2k kilos on it. One was a automatic Kia Sorrento and one was a 5 speed Sportage. The Sorrento had alot of power compared to the Sportage.

If you do end up getting a 4runner get the turbo diesel model they get great milage.
