I haven't been to CR in awhile. I was there last year, but i was with my mom and we stayed at The Sheraton in Escazu. It was incredible that hotel, and the breakfast was amazing. I've prob been to the gulch about 50 or so times in my life, shit prob more, and i've always stayed at Morazon, Castillo, Royal Dutch, or Europa.

I couldn't even imagine going back to the Morazon if that idiot Ricky is still out front, and if they still got that outdated furniture, bed covers, and drapes. That place is a straight up blast from the past. Is it still shitty?

Man i remember the good ole days of the Del Rey and Key Largo. You'd walk into the Rey and your jaw would drop, wall to wall women everywhere. Sometimes you'd walk in, and instantly have to walk out because your brain couldn't take it. Shoot, that shit is long gone now.

Once i found the Dominican Republic, I've really never been back to SJO for women. The DR is seriously in all my 32 countries visited in my lifetime, the best of the best. I mean as far as cheapness, women, food, drinks, beach, friendliness, etc. As far as SJO, I go to visit my family, grandmother, and buy coffee. I may gamble a bit, and if i see something that i really like i'll talk to her, but really not there for phucking.

Anyone heard anything about Castillo? Is it still there? I'm looking for a good hotel that doesn't charge a chica fee (just in case). As anyone ever stayed at The Radisson? If so, is there a fee and is it a nice place to stay?
Thanks
Superman

Castillo is still there and was acquired by the owners of La Amistad. It is closed as renovations are being made.

Apparently the Radisson wants the "girlfriend's name" on he reservation (to be registered) - which would be hard to do unless you were wifeing up. http://costaricaticas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=48503&p=554330&hilit=Radisson#p554330

Hotels without chica fee (incomplete list, others will add)

1. Hotel La Amistad (the one on Calle 15, not the other one!).
2. Sportsman's Lodge (but if your chica has been banned, she's not coming in).
3. Hotel Taormina (ex Mona Lisa)
4. Zona II
5. Hotel Little Havana
6. MAYBE - Dunn Inn (some report an inconsistent $10 fee) - a client that stayed there this month said they didn't charge him.

...and, of course, the aforementioned Hotel Morazan.

Last I checked, about 10 months ago, Ricky was still going strong at the reception. :D

Why would my chica be banned? I don't have a chica, but if i did, she wouldn't be banned, i assure you of that. I don't want a hotel where there are whores walking around and working. Shit man, i don't even really want to go, but i must to visit my grandmother. How about the Royal Dutch? any news on Royal Dutch?

Royal Dutch is closed. I used to get a 2nd room there for 20.00 per night and when I would pick up on non working ladies I would take them there. Also it was convenient to pick up on the ladies at the night club on the 2nd floor and go straight to the room without a bunch of prying eyes. That place was my best kept secret.

There are chicas that formerly worked at SL that, for one reason or another, have been banned. There's usually three sides to the story.

Ricky Ricardo? He's a phucking scammer. I know they used to rent rooms by the hour when they had vacancies. It was like $20-25 some years ago. And the daily room rate was like 40 or 42, so something. One time, I was walking by and asked if they had a room to use for a couple of hours, he said "Suuure, only $45 for 3 hours". And this was like 2009-2010. phucking scumbag.

I have stayed 3 times at the hotel Talamanca, Calle 8 y 10 Avenida Segunda. Cost me $45 dollars a night. They never charged me a chica fee, she just has to sign in. One block from Avenida Central. Great little tipica restaurant across the street, tons of street food places. Basic rooms, clean, no safe in my room. They say non smoking, but there are ash trays in the room if you smoke. Little restaraunt and bar on second floor. They speak very little english, but are super nice.

Ilv4play, Tipicaman, Orange (is that the same Orange from years back?), MM3, hotdogg,
Thanks for all your great responses. They were all very informative. I think i'm going to stay at the The Royal Crown, it's a pretty good hotel, and the rooms are very, very comfortable. My main reason for coming is to visit my grandma in Guapilis, not to Phuck random bitches, i can do that here. If it does C*m up, i will get one of them Hotel Asia type spots i guess. No problem, or may even get a Hotel Morazon room. If my cuban people are still working the front desk, i may get a special deal!
If anyone is living there, let me know if you want something from the states, and i'll bring it to you, looking at around middle of June.

Anyone know if B***B***is still doing MP tours or anyone else? That might satisfy me too.

My friend just checked into the Morazon tonight. Sent me a pic of a svelte Ricky Riccardo. He lives!
