Yeah because inefficient bin shuffling is root cause!

Get global entry/tsa precheck and won't have to worry bout insane lines. Was in Chicago few weeks ago and tsa line was long but because we don't have to take shoes off or empty our bags took less then 10 mins to pass thru. Will be best money you ever spent

I finally got off my ass and made an appointment for TSA Pre check and will apply for Global Entry in the next 1-2 days. $85 for TSA pre check and $100 for Global Entry.

Another problem is that some airports (LGA) don't follow the rules and allow non-pre-check passengers in the pre-check lane when the general lane is backed up to balance the lines, and so pre-check passengers end up waiting much longer.

But it is only as good as the airline you use and the airport you fly out of. I think Spirit (which I don't fly anymore) does not participate in Precheck at any airport. I don't know if foreign airlines are allowed to participate. I fly Copa to Colombia, and they do not have Precheck.

I do agree that the $85 is the best value I have ever received because of the fast entry when coming back to the US.

Time to privatize the TSA. Maybe Trump will clean it up when he is President.

Global Entry rocks for sure but TSA pre-Check could use some work. 2 of 3 flights with pre-check the TardSA agent still made us all in the pre-check line take off belts, shoes and empty pockets! And we shuffled our own bins around while they played pocket pool.

I have also found that GE has helped me getting back to the US, but not going out.

this was a problem at EWR a couple years ago, and i know the frequent travelers got pissed... Alot of fliers sent email, dunno if its the reason but, these days they have a gate keeper to screen out the riff raff... at least on the 2 United terminals its like that
