I can't understand why people drink Bacardi in CR, when Ron Centenario (CR) and Flor de Cana (Nicaragua) are
available for about the same price. Both are much better rums (especially Flor de Cana) than Bacardi.
Oh well...'to each his own'.

And I've seen travelers in Scotland order Johnny Walker when the entire back bar is lined with wonderful aged single malts...

I got my fill of the nica rum at the L'amistad... this is really good... and need to find it here in FL, if I can.

The cheapest prices in Florida for Flor de Cana are at the 'Total Wine & More' stores. They carry all of the 'ages', from the 4 and 7-year old rums to the 18-year old Centenario Gold :)
The 12-year old Centenario is currently $36.49.
The 18-year old Centenario Gold is currently $46.99 (sometimes in limited supply).

Got a bottle of Centenario Tequila Blanca at the Duty free this trip. If you like Tequila give it a try I thought it was as good or better than Patron silver and I believe it was only about $24.00 for a 750ml bottle. Baileys has gotten expensive as 2 1 liter bottles was almost 50 bucks, almost double what it was 3 years ago. A 1.75 liter bottle of Absolute was I think 36.00. For those of you that like Whiskey I was recently turned onto a distillery called Angels Envy. You can get it at Total Wine and it is a small batch bourbon that is finished in Port Wine Barrels or even better is the Rye that is finished in Rum Casks. Add a little water to let it bloom and damn its good.
