I stopped in the Amistad last Monday for the daily special (Pasta Lover's Special). The bartender said a salad is included only on Wednesday and Sunday. I guess someone decided that salad should only be eaten with steak. I have eaten dinner there at least once during almost every trip. I have eaten multiple times on Tuesdays and Fridays and was always served a salad. The dessert was still included Monday.

If I go again and the same bartender is there (the fairly new one), I will leave without ordering anything. Either she doesn't know or doesn't care about customer service. When I walked in, she was at the front desk talking to the young man working the desk. I sat at the bar and waited five minutes before she stopped talking and came to the bar. Then she was very slow doing everything. A previous time, I waited almost 10 minutes and then left without her tending to the bar. I saw her talking to a customer at a table as I left.

I rate the timeliness of the service compared to the SL and what it was at the Amistad with the other bartenders. In other words, what should be expected for that area.

And yes, I do like a salad with my dinner.

I didn't have any issues with Ruth. But I only have 1 trip under my belt. I do know that when anyone had an issue of any kind and it was brought to LA Mgr. Darren's attention, he always took care of it ASAP. He even loaded minutes on my crappy loaner phone for me because I was having a Rookie/Noob meltdown.

I never had problems with the bartenders. They are busy handling the food and beverage orders. But, in my opinion they still get the job done.

I've only dined/drank there 3-4 times and had solid service. I wouldn't call it brisk, but not slow either.

The salad on certain days is a bit perplexing. I could see if it was steak or something delivered on just certain days. But salad... readily available ingredients, minimal prep, and low cost.

Thanks GoodDayJohn for sharing your experience.
