This is kind of a two part question. I'll be staying in SJ at a place called Teresa Del Lago hotel. On the map it's about a 15min cab ride from HDR.

1) Has anyone stayed at Teresa Del Lago? Is it guest friendly?

2) Does the distance even matter to ticas at HDR?

Thanks in advance.

I'm having trouble finding on the map. Do they have a website or something? Curious, why did you chose that hotel over a known chica friendly place closer?

As to your 2nd question, like most questions involving chicas... it depends. Standard chica interview question is "Where are you staying?" You'll know in a hurry if they have a problem with it.

Some won't have a problem at all. Others might drive a harder bargain if it seems inconvenient. Others might flat out say no. The last category have likely done you a favor. Probably would have been a rush job so she can hurry back and earn from another guy.

Yes my apologies. I meant Torres del Lago Suites and Apartments. The place looks really nice and seems central in SJ.

Yes, seems your initial choice looks very nice. Taxis are fairly abundant and cheap though so I wouldn't be hung up on being right in the middle of SJ. If you have specific non chica destinations in mind let us know. Someone here can give an idea if it's worth being centrally located for them.

If it's your first time in San Jose check out one of the chica friendly hotels frequently mentioned here.

I used to live close to Escazu, depending on traffic, it could take a cab half hour to 45 minutes, maybe more if there was a traffic issue. Most afternoon (before 6pm) girls had no problem. Many times eve girls would say no thinking a one hour session could get close to 3hours coming and going. One said yes if we counted the whole time, I said no. Some wanted a little more like $20, I was OK with that for the really hot ones, worth it for me and I realized it cut into her earning hours. For mediocre ones I said no and often they would give in. If your ride is only 15 minutes you should get little or no resistance. DON'T accept a ride from her driver, choose a regular red cab...
