Lakers projected starters: Clarkson KobME Young Randle Hibbert Key reserves Williams Russell Bass

Pretty decent team, barring injuries will make playoffs and get bounced in Round 1 as KobME beats Hibbert with a stick.

Heat projected starters: Dragic Wade Deng Bosh Whiteside Key reserves Stoudemire Winslow Chalmers McRoberts Andersen Haslem Green

Of the two teams listed, which will make a deeper playoff run? Barring injuries of course.

No way is Young a projected starter. That would be the #2 pick in the draft D'angelo Russell and Clarkson in the back court and Hibbert w Bryant at SF and last years #7 Randle at PF.
Chances are pretty slim they are a playoff team in the west but its not like they can be champions every year
Kobes 25 and Hibberts 15 will come off the books right on time for Westbrook and Durant
Maybe they don't get either of those guys but establishing a nice nucleus of young talent should make it more enticing
Are the Heat a playoff team? Maybe in the east where its Cle,Chicago,Atl, and everyone else
No big accomplishment there

No way Russell starts as a rook. Despite all the wows about his play in Vegas, KobME ain't going to deal with a rook as the starting PG.

Lakers actually have made some decent moves in FA, despite whiffing on Aldridge.

Russell Randle are future All Stars.

Hopefully KobME will ride off into the sunset soon and allow the Lakers to be good again.

Ill bet you a beer Russell starts
in fact Byron has already said he sees Clarkson and Russell in the same backcourt
if you think about how the NBA is right now a backcourt has to be quick as shit
have you seen him play? K*D is most definitely starting...

I'll take that bet.

"Starts" meaning he is in the starting lineup in Game 1?

Or do you mean he will start a game at some point during the season? That's no bet, it's bound to happen especially if Clarkson plays poorly or there's an injury.

the bet is he starts game 1
this K*D is as close to a natural as I've seen in quite a while
his hurky jerky movement appears to be nearly impossible to guard, accurate shot and find his teammates
i don't see many guys like that in the league let alone on the Lakers
go to the 3:50 mark and watch him distribute that rock!

But at least the Heat easily won their opener and shot a sizzling 60% from 3P range... nice!!!

Should be another great year in the NBA.

Bulls with a 2-0 start. Taking the Cavs out in game 1 is always sweet. :)

Bring on the HEAT :P

Nah, just an off year, they will be back..

I am not one to complain about injuries, (since I'm not really a pro fan) but this was a pretty brutal year losing Noah, Gibson, Mirotic Rose, Butler and Dunleavy for long stretches  :o

I will be the one over in the corner rooting against the Heat and Cavs :P
