This man is mentally ill to have done this interview. He has placed a target on his back. Why would they let him go without charges/trial when the authorities have now been told that he is going to write a back and produce a video to make fools out of Costa Rica authorities? Wow.

Was feeling sorry for him but not now. In his case, you really cannot fix stupid.

Sorry for the rant but he is causing angst for all on this board and probably many more.

CD appears not to be the coldest beer in the fridge. I understand his logistics of taking his plight public and attempting to gain some type of support, since the silent approach wasn't providing any results, but he just insured an unpleasant future for his sorry ass with these assclown comments. At times, I have felt sympathy for his self-induced plight, but if I was a Costa Rican power, I wouldn't be pleased with CD

CD is a Narcissist. It's everyone else who is to blame for all his woes. He played zero part in it. If "they" knew who they were realy dealing with, they'd set him up in a palace and name an Avenida after him!

Jesus, this guy doesn't learn. More than likely he just sealed his fate. He has little to absolutely no chance for this to go away. Threatening your captures is definitely not the way to get anyone feeling sorry for you.

His hubris is incredible. I originally thought that he would be sentenced to perhaps 2 years. Now I think he'll be sentenced to 3 or 4 years.

Wow wow Wow, hubris is exactly what I was thinking. Unless it was a red herring to induce CR gov. to let him go and sign a Non-Disclosure......Really just a bad idea, though. He was moved to an improved facility, maybe things are looking better for him, why on God's earth would he put that out there? Of course there is money for him and publicity when he gets out....This saga definitely is a Nat Geo Locked Up Abroad episode, but why go out and say it?

His lawyer should have been present for that interview.

It's still a bogus deal and I hope he gets out quickly.

I knew he was a self-centered asshole before, and seems that prison hasn't taught him shit. I thought they would release him after a year and send him home. After this, I have a feeling he'll be doing years. At least he gets free room and board. He must love Gallo Pinto by now having eaten it 3 times daily for the past 6 months.

The Hobo Traveler ain't so bright either.
