One of the nicer ones is Hotel de Paso Ruta 32 (previously named Hotel Eden). You can search for it on the internet, or search this forum.

Ok, found it. It was a of Orange in the newbie section.

Here: viewtopic.php?t=16357

And I found some other options on the tico foro: http://www.forodecostarica.com/en-mascu ... redia.html

The options they mentioned:

Hotel Villa Cariño: https://m.facebook.com/Restaurante-y-Ho ... 087266132/

Hotel Arrecifes: https://es-es.facebook.com/www.hotelArrecifes.co.cr

If the date follows through (it's not a paydate) I will let you know which one she chose and what to expect :)

La Oficina is the best one. Also a dump called hotel Asia near the Del Rey.

Yeah, that was the one I remembered. She will call this one first.

It's on calle 1/Avenida 9
Phone number I found: 2258 5334

Morázan rents ST rooms as well. Sounds like Oficinia is a better option given that it is a non paydate.

The charge is 20 mil for 12 hours. It is spotlessly clean, which is a top priority for me. It is well equipped, with a hot tub, a seat/bench for various positions of entanglement with your partner, large shower, king-size bed, flat-screen tv, air conditioned, and more. You can get food and drinks for a very reasonable price. If your friend has her own car, you park in an enclosed, single car garage which leads to the room - very secure, and no extra for parking in a lot and walking.

That's a great deal. Their FB page is under the old name (Eden) if I've found the right one. Looks super nice!

This is probably your best choice if you want something very close to the gulch and you are using a taxi. There is a parking lot adjacent to it, but it is small. If the lady is a non-worker, she may not want to be seen walking into a short-term hotel. It is 8500 for 3 hours.

All went according to plan and we ended up in Hotel Arrefices.

Room was clean, small, had a fan and the water of the shower was warm enough to not be cold. Towels were ok too.

Mattress was clean but died years ago. At a certain point I even scratched myself on a spring that pointed through.

When you decide to go here make sure you call before you go. When we arrived they first said they had no rooms available. Only when my date said she called and named the 12,000/3hrs that was mentioned we got our room (#2).

We arrived at 8:30 and left at 12:15. Nobody came to bother us telling the 3hrs were past.

No parking but the hotel is right above a popular bar with two older ladies as watchies.

All in all not bad but we decided to try a different place Wednesday :)
