ah the hell with it... analogy time
we are all on one big fuckin car lot. Some of you guys played it safe and bought the Camry, and it's reliable dependable blandness is killing you... and it's your own damn fault.. C'mon fellas you gotta take it on more than a five minute test drive before you sit down and do the paperwork that gonna tie you into a long term lease.
Some of you at least test drove a few others before signing the lease...but woke up one morning and realized the hotrod you thought you had, has turned into a wagon. Some of you poor saps just ended up with a lemon.. and are still cursing and harboring resentment.
Some of you traded in your old ass volvo for the sleek showroom floor model that you have no business owning.. and the payment and maintenance are more of a headache than the satifaction you get for taking it out of the garage and revving the motor a couple times a week.
or maybe it is....
me? i am content to test drive for the rest of my life. I am unscathed by the high pressure of the salesmen.. no rebate or tent sale or factory to dealer incentive will convince me that it is good business to buy into something that depreciates so horribly fast.
Granted some test drives are longer than others, but i feel no remorse when i hand over the keys and walk home.
After all... if my feet get tired, i can always rent
