What is the upload and download speed of the wifi? Maybe someone can answer this.

Channel capacities in CR are not stable as they are in the US. Streaming can be a challenge for some, and always remember that wifi routers can only handle a certain load of connections. So in busy environments, expect connection drops and reconnects.

In the past, when staying at SL, I remember getting as high as 3mb down, but usually in the 1-1.5 range.

Truly powerful Wifi for serious work, when not mongering. Thanks for upgrading the infrastructure. I am arriving the weekend of February 18. Bill, your next margarita is on me. See you soon.

Thanks so much for the update.

Are these new Access Points (AP)? In other words 802.11N with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios, high density enterprise APs?

The "wireless routers" I remember seeing were Linksys (a Cisco company) home networking types of routers. Those routers weren't meant to be high-density heavy-use Access Points for a business.

Just curious, since I am in that line of work.

I'm a newbie to travel to CR, but I am definitely going to stay at the SL. It's obvious that Bill is an awesome guy. All the things that matter, Bill is right on the money with his approach to business. I personally couldn't be in that sort of business because my fuse is too short with the public. I can only imagine how ridiculous some of the public must be to deal with. That said, this thread is much ado about a minor issue.

Bill, I'm really looking forward to staying at your place! Hoping to make some awesome friends on my vacation :).

WOW...now that is some impressive speed! Knowing what I pay for internet here, it'd actually be cheaper for me to rent a room at Sportsmen's Lodge every day of the year than pay myself for those kinds of speeds.
