Damn it, by reading your title, I though YOU were the one offering us the young, attractive maid.

Yes, Dildo Man, I thought the same thing.
Right now, I have a dowdy middle aged maid who comes in once a week, does an excellent job and charges 5,000 colones.
I leave her to do her job - I have chicas for "other" jobs.

I seriously hope you are living in CR and are looking for a maid down there rather than seeking to import one to the US. Recruiting women with promises of work as maids and then requiring them to perform other services is a favorite tactic of human traffickers (aka white slavers).

OTOH, if you live in CR already and are really looking for a maid you shouldn't have to ask such a question here. You should have more familiarity with that sort of thing than most guys here who just come down and visit and who have no call for hiring any maids. You should also know plenty of other ex-pats who you can ask directly, rather than place such an incredibly vague and loaded question up on this website.

If you're really looking for someone just to clean your house, you should have much higher priorites other than age and looks. How about does she do windows or better yet can you trust her not to rip you off while she is tidying up your stuff and you are looking the other way? But if "eye candy that cleans" is what you want, why not place an ad in the local paper and just hire what you like. Personally, if I want eye candy, there is no shortage of other places to find it in CR. Do you get off on sitting around watching your maid work? Do you expect her to wear some short french maid outfit or clean your house in a bikini or the nude or something? It all sounds a bit kinky to me.

However, if, as I strongly suspect, you REQUIRE more than just cleaning services, this sounds a lot like employer sexual harrassment (not that having a maid work in the nude isn't). That may be common place in CR, but that doesn't make it right. Why should any of us feed into it? There are enough "whores" in CR without creating new ones. Also if one finds a young girl that is actually trying to make an "honest" living, why would you want to corrupt her. Its guys like that who give ex-pats a bad name in CR.

Your best bet, rather than trying to find a maid that you can turn into a whore, may be to find a whore that you can turn into a maid. Ask the girls you meet at the bars and MP's if they would be interested in your "hybrid" job. You might find a few candidates that would be willing to do it "gratis" as "novia services" (of course you'll wind up paying them in other ways or for other activities). Others might be wanting to transition out of the business or hold a job that they can tell their families about (without the details on the extra services you have her perform). Incidentally, if you're expecting to get sex services at maid rates, I wouldn't count on it. It might happen, but I expect you'll end up having to tip your maid at least as well as you would a more formal sex worker.

Finally, I'm FAR FAR from a CR employment expert, but if you do hire a girl to work this way, I'd make sure all payments are done under the table. Otherwise it might get a little dicey defining how much pay was for this and how much was for that and the last thing you want to end up having to do is to pay the 23% Social Security payments and an Aguinaldo for the sexual services you've been receiving all year as that could get quite huge.

Having had a maid down here and then making the mistake of saying would you like lunch and more. The cleaning after that went right down hill. Prolijo is right a maid is for cleaning the house only, nothing more.

First let me say I do not have a maid either live in or just come when needed. I do have a cleaning lady who comes once a week, cleans my casa, takes her 4K and goes home to her husband.

I have known guys who advertised in "La Nacion" for a live in domestic. They were literally swamped with girls lined up at the gate to their house with applicants. Most fully understood "their duties" and had no problem with the job description.

We may not agree with the process but we must understand it does exist in CR.

Did your friend alude to sex in the ad? Or just for a "live in" domestica?

A young, attractive maid who is amenable to other services is a nice fantasy but a bad idea in practice. If she's young and attractive and amenable to P4P with foreigners, she knows where to go. So I suggest you go there too and hire a whore to dress up and play maid for you. But don't count on a good job of housecleaning. For that, hire an older woman with references, and check out her own house. Further, you can get in real trouble, as others have already pointed out. Contrary to the impression you may get in Gringo Gulch, many if not most CR women are fervent Catholics and offended by the sight of prositution. This includes many maid-staff at the Pres and other hotels.

No mention of sex is made in the ads but most who respond understand the "live in" terminology means sex is part of the job.

That should never become a problem. Workers here know that if they fail to perform the job well they will be dismissed. If it is after the probationary period you may be responsible for some severance benefits but thats it.
