If there's one guy who is on the case, it's Guy. He does a great job and it really concerned on our comfort/safety. Hope it goes well for them but the whole project still needs work.

Agreed.

FYI- Guy Grand has a new email address to book rooms at Taormina... guygrandhoteltaormina@yahoo.com or reservations@taorminacr.com

I was in one of the new rooms for the past 2 days. Rooms were clean, quiet and spacious. Front desk staff and maintenance were very helpful.

But there were a couple of glitches.

1. The clock was an hour off. I couldn't figure out how to chage the time, so I took it downstairs where nobody else could figure it out either. No biggie. Clocks have been replaced by smart phones anyhow.

2. The thermostat stopped working and it was pretty hot before I realized the ac was not working. Front desk called in the main maintenance guy. He was very helpful.But.....unfortunately all of the thermosts in the new rooms were cheap and the replacement shipment has not arrived. The only thing he could do was to hardwire the ac on. It got pretty cold.... ..but that was better than too hot.

3. There was a safe in the room...but it had some programing issues. It quit working twice and was not working again when I checked out.

Overall good experience and I will return here. I think they'll work out the glitches soon...and the price is reasonable....particularly because there is no chica fee.
