Ok, so I'm arriving in Jan at a late/early hour depending on how you look at it. Probably midnight by the time I get my bag.

Like others I'm beginning to think having a "regular" room that first night makes little sense and a short stay option might be just the ticket. However, I've never used one of these places.

So let's take la oficina as an example. I show up at 1 am luggage in tow... then what? Walk in and ask for one night, 6 hours? I'd d benefit from a short tutorial. Thanks in advance.

I have never done anything longer than the standard 3 hour for 7-8,000. I think they have longer stay rates. I will see what I can find out.

I've arrived at midnight before and after checking in still had 2 chicas before I crashed. I would go to the hotel, check in, and go party.

Thanks I did catch that thread. From what I can glean oficina is nicer, in relative terms.

First time going into any type of hourly place... the thought of figuring it out at 1 am with luggage in hand is not my idea of fun. That said it does not seem too complicated.

I suppose I could just go to the DR and hold up the bar until sunrise. I'm sure its been done before.

If you're mainly looking for a place to leave your bags until checkin time the next day, just go to Paradise...right across the street from the Del Rey. For 11 mil, you can get the room until noon ... And then just move into your regular place.

Officina was 8.5 mil for 3 hours and 16 mil for i think 12 hours. But its a taxi ride from the D R.

I used both places on a recent trip. Not a great deal of difference in quality, but Paradise is much more convenient to the DR.

Hotel Diana is a reasonable option, too. They charged me 15 mil for a regular day plus 5 mil chica fee. One stayed the night ant the 5 mil fee did not increase. Its a bit of a hassle because you have to wake up the owner to get in and out at night. (Her problem, not mine.)

Nothing fun happens around the DR at 1 am. But I'll report back anyway. Jajaja!

I banged on that door at 3am for a good 10 minutes. There is no waking her up at that hour!
