I agree with all of your post EXCEPT for this part!!! My second wife and I were members for many years of what was at that time (80s-90s) the largest (5000 members) swingers club in the world; and it was right in the middle of the "bible belt". During that time we also traveled all over the USA visiting other "social clubs" of which there are many!!! Most people involved in this activity do not openly advertise what they are doing, but it is much more prevalent than most think. At that time members ranged from their early 20s to their 80s. 90% were married couples, 5% were unmarried couples, and 5% were lesbian/bisexual females. Single men were not allowed. I have seen hundreds of couples openly have sex with other partners in front of their mates. So, yes it does happen, and it happens much more than most suspect!! I agree that MOST Gringas want NO part of this, but it does happen!! OH, and the members ranged from high school drop-outs to doctors, lawyers, CEOs, even a very few elected officials, though they (elected government officials) were very discrete and usually only partied with small groups of close friends.

Funny thing was (with my wife at least) we could both do what we wanted and with who we wanted when we were at club events and member parties, BUT "not NO but HELL NO" to being with another female without her knowing!! Yep, that is what cost me that marriage!!! She found out why I visited Costa Rica without her!!!! and about a Mexican GF in the states!

Old time member here. I realize that my wife and I are not your average couple in this but we are an example of how two people can have their cake (mongering) and eat it too. We have travelled the world from the FKKs in Germany to the biggest swinger's club in Amsterdam. We have visited Costa Rica many times. Rio was unbelievable. On my own, visits to Philippines and Thailand.

Thanks. We started experimenting probably about the seven year point. I was always allowed to monger. Swinging was short lived as we found we liked mongering better. Met my wife in Japan as we were both in the U.S. Navy.

My wife and I are swingers. I wouldn't call us hardcore but we get together with others maybe 10 times a year, usually at parties. We traveled together to CR about 8 years ago doing the tourist thing and also visited the HDR to see what it was like. Since then I've been back solo twice with a 3rd trip planned for January. She is traveling to Antarctica for 2 weeks and SHE told me to go to CR and enjoy myself.

We are NOT in an open relationship, meaning we don't go out and mess around behind each others backs. No jealousy. Simply sex with others.

My wife knows that I come to CR. I tell her that I am going out of town for business. The house is paid for and the son in college. She is busy trying to get a sunroom. I care less if she fucks behind my back provided she does not show it to me. I, too, do not show her "my work" in CR. At the age of 50, she has other things to worry about than the chicas in CR. She knows that I do not intend to marry any of these chicas. These CR chicas can not survive in the USA. So, no worries there.

+1000 I guess the couple dozen Ticas and about the same number of Nicas that I know personally that are and have been in the states for several years or more are just "walking dead" ! That is as stupid as "all Ticas have a baby by age 13 and are married and divorced by 16". Or, "all Ticos are dumb, uneducated, and poor.
