One of my customers is a missionary. She teaches and councils Ticas in the dangers of drug and alcohol use. I spoke with her freely about what I do while visiting CR. She gave me the hairy eyeball at first, yet said as long as I obey all the laws of that country she didnt see anything wrong. I sponsered her last year. I will get more details of her Mission and post them. Im just seeing if there is any interest.

Is this "Raw" some crazy motherfuucker? "She teaches and councils Ticas in the dangers of drug and alcohol use". Uh huh. How much she taking off the top to offset her "expenses"? Fuckkin' holy rollers can't run their own goddamn lives, so run others and "Raw" wants to introduce that bullshit here? Jesus wept.

Bluntly, keep that bitch out of the USA, please.

this is the true spirit of the cien club, meanwhile many here want to be selfish and only pay 40$ and bash cien payers
ive also made 6 trips this year and personally handed cien to quite a few women in need, ive even ensured their bellys were filled with leche :)

in addition to money i have also donated extra unused condoms to many pension chicas

CRT guys have raised money for other worthy causes in the past. I told my missionary friend I would post the question to see if there was any interest. Clearly there is not. End of story. I remember meeting Icantstayawy at hotel little Havana a few years ago. Enjoyed our conversation. If my memory serve's me correctly you worked for a pet food manufactorer.

So she has been living off of the misery of many people for many years. What a Saint.

I detest these poverty pimps and their ways. Heed the symptom, Raw, before you're suckered even more than you already are. A "mission" indeed. A "mission" to get PAID. She supports herself via this "mission", correct? That means she pays her rent and all other bills; pays for her food; yada, yada, yada...or does she do it for gratis a la a good Samaritan and has a full time day job which pays all the bills? If she needs "sponsorship", what is the money for? Follow the money. Chumps abound. A whore is a whore is a whore. This one in question has merely modified the ubiquitous RFM of the lazy set....

Steven0, she is a full time missionary and lives in a very humble home with other missionaries, poor as a church mouse.

Reminds me of that blonde-haired Gringa who used to stand outside the DR and hand out flyers. I'd see her in the New York Bar often, mostly during Happy Hour, no doubt using some of the donations for beer. I saw her a couple of times inside other bars (DR, SL, Papi's, Joe B's?), but it was usually in the NYB. Has anyone seen her in the past year or so? I wonder if she's still on her 'mission'?

My mission was successful! I personally donated much needed $$ to the hands of 10 somewhat desperate, beautiful young mothers, 2 of them twice!! All while skipping the charity middlemen & administrators! I came back with quite a sense of accomplishment & fulfillment. So much so that I am planning my next 'Mission' trip!!!

Ain't my cross to bear if she is a poor hustler. She's clearly got one fish on the line. :P

I can see a con coming from a mile away and this chick is trueblue. Gringotim, I also remember you crying on this board threatening to commit suicide because of your lack of employment and all the encouragement you received from other members including myself. I sent you my home number and told you to call collect any time.

I don't recollect Gringotim doing any such thing and if he had such thoughts he damn sure isn't alone with them. On that subject I am a self appointed expert. The bullet don't lie.

And right there you prove my point: You didn't "help" Gringotim out of any manner of empathy. You did it to make yourself feel good and, evidently, so you could throw same back in his face later on down the road which you've now done; AND, I don't recollect any such posts by Gringotim.

No such thing as altruism Raw. We do things because they serve our needs first. You evidently have a need to be viewed by others as some sort of do gooder when in reality you're doing good for yourself and when people don't pat you on the back you cop an attitude. Grow up little boy. :!:

Indeed, 2005 was a rough year...family and friends deaths, lack of employment, etc. I made it through the bout of depression with the help and encouragement of a family member and friends, and without any medication or alcohol abuse. The encouragement and advice I received from quite a few members of the board certainly was greatly appreciated and was a factor in my 'recovery'. As Steven1 stated, depression is indeed quite common, and it is rare that a person goes through life without experiencing it at one time or another.
