Barrett,
If you read the entire thread you will realize that there is a range of prices and that the $49 cash is the bottom rate and non-discountable. Discount or not it is still a great rate and good value.

Mini ML review:

Stopped by the ML (nee Taormina) this weekend to visit a buddy. Saw his room on 3rd floor - comfortable mini suite, very good value at the discouted 49 dollar price.

SirGuy is still onsite. There's new ownership investing lots of $$ into the place.

Noticed a prominent sign at the front desk: "All payments upfront".

Noticed they are still working on the casino. They're doing a complete remodel of the area.

Also noticed wifi signal was strong on the main and 3rd floors.

Also noticed they replaced the parking lot entrance with an automatic gate, The guard no longer has to open the gate manually.

Ate at the Italian restaurant, Gatopardo. Good pizza and foccacia. Attentive service.

Only saw 3 working girls total both times I was there (mid day, then afternoon).

Last stayed at ML two years ago. I'd definitely stay there again.

Good report. I hope they get everything going. I'll have to try the restaurant next visit.

Yes it's friendly. Its a 10 minute walk, or a 640c cab ride.

I overheard SirGuy and the reception staff discuss how they were already 100% booked for Halloween.

I suggest you PM SirGuy on this site and ask him directly about room availability.
