OK. Got a discount at Mangomar from $90 to $80 bucks a night during the high season. The lady mention that she has a special rate for VIP members who go there allot. Part of her email response is listed below.

I've seen the mangomar every time that I am in Jaco. How about some reports on the place. Clean? A/C ? Good mattress ? TV? Cable? Etc

I will be there 11/28 to 12/4 and will report back. But Since its a budget hotel I would expect the basics.

From what is left of my July trip Report (yes I deleted part of it due to the current fiasco)!

"Stayed at Mango Mar Fri & Sat pm. $90/night , no chica fee, 1 min walk to CoCal bar. Fridge & coffee pot, in room safe, hot water, cold a/c. Great Value!!"

Apparently I paid $90 not $80 as I stated earlier on this thread. I never inquired about a discount as it was the first time I stayed there. Don't know about cable Tv as I didn't watch a lot of tv. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever!!!

I think its a good deal as well bandon843 and thank you costareeker for the suggesting to try MangoMar. The lady mention a VIP special deal for those who visit the facility often. I'll report back what it is when I get there.
