September 15th, 2015 (ICR News) An American man was found dead in a fourth-floor hotel room at the Hotel Del Rey in downtown San Jose Monday afternoon.



Eddie Matherni, 60, had apparently not emerged from his room since Saturday. Hotel staff, concerned, entered the man’s room to find the deceased lying on the bed.



Authorities are investigating the cause of death, but there were no immediate signs of foul play.



A “significant amount” of Oxycontin and diazepam were found in the room, leading authorities to suspect the man may have overdosed.



The Hotel Del Rey is one of the country’s most famous meet-up spots for prostitutes and clients.

RIP whomever he was. I know there are guys on the board that knew him. Hopefully his demise does not open up a can of worms for anyone that might have been traveling with him........ If he was married and his wife gets more info than she needs. Or other guys that may have been with him and now have some explaining to do.

I'm sure the hotel has already checked and our friendly OIJ investigated the little vouchers guests and chicas sign before going up the famous elevator!

If you are staying at the HDR you will run into people from CRT even if they do not advertise it. I rarely tell anyone I am on CRT. My point might have been a little obscure but I am sure there was a CRT member in the HDR that might have seen this guy, had a beer with him or done the same girl after him. I was more or less wondering if any CRT member has more info on the poor guy.
