He is really on an amazing stretch and his contract allows for an opt out this year which almost certainly will gain him a nice fat contract at 30
Smart agent and a smart guy. He is mixing his pitches like a master and knows every stat and situation like a true a top 5 pitcher in the game
Not sure if you knew he actually suffers from social anxiety and is on psychotropics
Its an awesome interview if you haven't seen one, the guys shoots from the hip has crazy baseball knowledge and his eyes just spin as he contemplates the question
Doesn't help when the interviewer spouts some esoteric stats that he is totally aware of and ends it by asking "isn't that crazy Zack?"
The smile is straight out of the shining!
Guy should be the poster Ch*ld for mental illness success

Somethings wrong with having a name like Brooklyn K*D and being a Met's fan. The Met's do have some really good young pitchers. Their a bat or 2 away from being a serious contender. I believe the Dodgers will pay whatever it takes to keep Zack around. I sure hope so, living in the bay area dealing with all these new found bandwagon jumping giant's fans the past 5 years makes me sick.. I've been bleeding Blue for over 40 years now. It's time to win!! Come on do it for Vin!!

Was maneuvering a large safe into a small closet during the game (no idea why) but apparently our pitchers shit the bed. not something you hope for.

A true brooklynite could never root for the dodgers after they deserted our borough. So I heard as I'm not nearly old enough to know

i'm not old enough to remember the Dodgers in Brooklyn. My first memory is the 74 series. I can understand how people from Brooklyn feel. However, baseball was ready to move west at the time and expand. As it turns out it was a good move. Let's face it Brooklyn isn't really a Major League town or one of the many expansion teams would have gone there. You do know the Met's colors come from the Dodgers and giants....

Did not know about the Mets colors but have always thought of them as sort of a sister team
And will always be appreciative of Doc Gooden's fat pitch to Scioscia in 88!
Sounds like we have similar Dodger memories Ricker cause 74 is some of my first solid memories although i do recall seeing Willie Davis in center which had to be 73 and 3dog was my favorite and then gone for Mike Marshall.
So many games w my dad and still catch 5 or so games a year 8)

Probably one of the best moments of my life ... After listening to my Mets fan girlfriends stupid hand puppet "Mets Mutt" squeak all night...

And seeing Davy Johnson cry on TV afterwards...

And David Cone choke on his words...

Heaven baby

Scioscia's home run off Gooden was epic. When I look back at that team it really wasn't very good but they some how got it done.. This current team has much more talent but sadly it seems that something is missing. Let's see the Dodgers left Brooklyn in 57 and there's been a number of expansion teams since and non have considered Brooklyn. No disrespect to Brooklyn but lot's has changed in 58 years..

Ricker, when was the last time you were in Brooklyn? Have you been to places like downtown, Park Slope recently? I was there just last week. Brooklyn is going through a major renaissance!

The reason BROOKLYN never got another team and reason dodgers left was cause of Robert Moses. Read up on your history. Omalley wanted a new stAdium in Brooklyn ironically he wanted it where the nets and islanders now play. Moses would only give them land where the mets now play. Omalley said he'd rather move the team west then play anywhere in ny but Brooklyn. Omalleys in my book are still skum but so is Moses. Omalley got sweetheart of a deal from LA and so he headed west.
Also let's re read our history books. The mets were born in 62. So why during other expansion years would they want to add a third team in NYC? Maybe Brooklyn Staten Island and manhattan should have got teams that way all 5 boroughs had teams

You are correct about what happened but you can't blame the OMalleys for making the correct business decision, it was pure and simple the fault of Moses and that wasn't all that dictator did that phucked up NYC. Anyway a few loyal peeps like my father remained true to their team in spite of the move and passed on the joy of Dodger baseball to their sons, i.e. Yours truly. I was happy to see the Mets beat the Orioles in 69 because I hated the Orioles for beating the Dodgers in 66. I went to the game with the JC Martin play. But i grew up with the joy of Dodger legacy... And in spite of the fact I was the only Dodger fan amonst the K*ds in the neighborhood I survived ... GO DODGERS
