What are phones running for in SJO area and would I be able to unload a few new ones for some cash? Android and iPhone type devices.

I brought some down but had buyers lined up for them. About half flaked though. Be careful with people you do not know as you are painting a target on your back for getting mugged.

The Chinese knockoffs do not last long. All 4 of the ones that I bought for people lasted no longer than 6 months with one lasting less than 2 months. They were bought off EBay as genuine but after the first one died and we had it looked at by a phone repair place we found out they were all counterfit. I only buy used Iphones now.

you'll get wholesale swapmeet prices from stores in the market minus the gringo tax (20%)

ebay prices from private buyers if you can find them and if its worth your time

best value is to offer it to a younger chica with regular flip phone as trade....

there is a big used electronics market, but as a gringo you dont get access to the desired inside mkt, even a tico/tica negotiating for you might get a little better than you but still not the best price.
