Lakers may make it in next year if Kobe stays out of his wheelchair. MAYBE as a 7 or 8 seed and bow out early.

Not so sure about Okafor

Hows KobME working out for you? What was it, 30 million? You haven't said too much about him for a long time, refresh our memories.

While you're at it, please bring us up to date on that key acquisition, Carlos Loser.

On one of the sports talk shows yesterday (Around the Horn?), they were discussing if the Warriors should be considered one of the top five teams in NBA history. The four panelists included Bob Ryan, who is quite knowledgeable in basketball. I can remember when he worked in Boston for many years. Two or three of the panelists, including Ryan, agreed that the Warriors should indeed be considered one of the top five of all time. I almost fell off my chair! Ryan should know better. What about all the great Celtics and Lakers teams, not to mention Jordan's Bulls and some of the great Knicks and 76er teams?!

It was kind of sad to see Bill Russell on the podium presenting the trophy in the post-game ceremonies. His health appears to be declining fast.

its called aging gracefully and going down swinging. we should all hope for that much. ill take the banners hanging in staples thanks to Kobe. no matter how the haters hate Kobe will go down in history as one of the goat. get over it.

LA- while Kobe may be a great player he may not crack the starting five of all time great Lakers in the mind of some.

Jabbar
Chamberlain- only a Laker for 5 years
Johnson
West
Baylor

O'Neal is possible as well

Fact is EXTREMELY debatable...

Would take Kareem as best Laker ever, with Magic a very close second. Most would put Jerry West above Kob(me) too..

Get over yourself and your manlove for KobME. KobME is a goat alright, can't keep his hands to himself or his d!ck in his pants... :)

KobME won't be even considered the greatest LAKER of all time (except by his fans). That honor belongs to one of the following: Kareem, Magic, or Jerry. Honorable mention: Wilt and George.

There are 16 banners in Staples. Last time I checked KobME played on 5 championship TEAMS, and he had Shaq for 3 and Pau for 2. So let's not rewrite history here.
