Been in the hobby for a quite a long time now
a couple things that were never big issues but over the years I've never really gotten a full understanding of some things...

1. GFE -wtf is GFE? in NYC it means paying for a girls company and discretion. meaning you pay for her time while you eat dinner, watch a ball game drive in a limo, and anot always have sex....
i see alot of guys posting they get GFE in a massage parlor...please elaborate....

2. Montreal- is it legal or illegal? what is the deal there from someone Whos been recently

3. Daytime Gulch activities... other that SL, Z2, ML, IDEM, POAS and Del Rey, waht other gringo hangouts are there where one can sit down, drink beers look at ladies and or have good gringo conversation......

4. is the bank, duty free and exit tax booth open upstairs after 10pm?

5 what are rates for 2br apt in Barrio Amon? a few of frequent visitors whoa re close friends are thinking of "timesharing" a place we could call home when we need to get away and recharge batteries.

6. what can we collectively do as CRT members do to keep the Gulch alive?

just some thoughts as i awake from an ambien blur...

thx

GFE is in the eye of the beholder. Some guys consider a kiss to be GFE. So when someone claims to have had a GFE experience, they need to outline what they mean.

No clue, sorry.

if you are only interested in talking English to a bunch of gringos, why not stay home and do this at your leisure? I don't come to CR to talk to other Americans. Widen your view and go meet some locals. There are tons of places to have a drink and meet local guys also on the hunt. Just be respectful. I've seen drunk gringos bounced out of Jetset before.

exit tax counter is 24 hours, but the others close by 10pm. Duty Free used to be open later, but the last time I went through late at night, it was shackled.

simple. Pay every chica cien for even so much as a wink and a nudge. That will attract many more back to the business (including from Colombia, DR, etc) and then everyone will be happy.

Theo's Bar and Amistad Sports Bar, both on Calle 3 between Ave 7 & 9, are gringo owned and have inexpensive drinks.

I actually do come to CR to talk to gringos as PART of my trip,... i have had the fortunate/unfortunate fate of modestly retiring at age 40... not many peers for me at home, when i do, the conversations revolve around things im not involved with (K*ds, saving for retirement, work, starting a business, sales pitch for a new investment, new cars, conspicuous consumption, keeping up with the jones, marital issues, politics etc.) im trying to figure out the 2nd part of my life... and conversations with other men of leisure has always worked w for me...

im looking for more been there done that Gringos that have made the move outside the states... ive met alot thru CRT I have been coming down more often, (4th trip this year) and am jsut lookign for other things to do... not looking for a best friend, just other been there done thats

i also do hang out at the Tico places also...and have tico friends

I actually am A Cien Club Charter member... i pay cien... but i DEMAND Cien service when dealing with the Indies...

those who pay cien for mediocre service ruin things... many business owners down in SJO and around the world deliberately pay the minimal money to keep an employee for the fact that if you pay too much there would be no incentive for that person to work... its counter intuitive to the American way, but it is how it works for 90% of the world....

For my mongering I prefer to be like the Googles of the world where i attract only those who bring a desired and unique "skillset", those special ones have the pleasure of "working" with me.....

for quick nuts there are are enough MPs to choose from...

that being said to keep the topic going... I know for me i find it fulfilling to show a newbie the different MPs, and also introduce them to CRT many newbies i run into on my trips tend to be Sousa or Asia guys looking for something different, but either never heard of CRT or if they have found CRT not as useful for information like the forums for other destinations.

I know I'm generalizing, but the other destinations do have more information on their respective boards... there also seems to be more of a passion from the guys.... Case and point is myself with Germany and MaxBass with Thailand/Asia.....

so i ask the CRT brotherhood again, what is it was can do differently to keep the gulch alive... in my opinion I believe attracting new "customers" is most important.

I was at Theos end of APR... it was a disaster as Theo had planned a Wet Tshirt contest and cuba dave was going around telling everyone about it, so a decent croed showed up... the girls didnt show and alot of guys were disappointed... I hear its picked up since then and will check it out again this trip, i hope it does well...

is the Amistad Sports BAr on the corner of Theos? ive never seen it open, but i also havent looked

Yes, it is on the corner. When I was in SJ in March, I went there three times in late afternoon and it was open. Then when I was there in May, I only went by one time, and it was not open, but the stock was still on the shelves.

Here is a link to what's going on in Montreal these days:

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/ ... -1.2977711

I used to go to this MP for several years straight, very expensive, but chicks were mostly 10's. With the new law in place I decided not to go anymore. Not worth the worry and expense.
