A really sweet man; met him many moons ago at the SL, and shared a few drinks a couple of times. RIP.

Indeed, a good reminder to not take your friends for granted and to reach out often, and tell the just how you feel. You never know..

DAMMIT! I am getting afraid to log on to this board anymore. The best of the VIP brigade keep falling way too soon...bringing new meaning to the song "only the good die young". I shared many Centenarios with Mario and his was a special heart...only to give out too soon. At least we know he lived to the fullest as much time as he was given. What a loss to the human race...these kinds of guys are rare.

RIP Brother Mario. You will be sorely missed and remembered well.

Another shocker losing another CRT brother too soon. Having lost 5 friends in a little over 6 months about 10 years ago is why I started traveling and doing things l love to do. My passion is fishing which lead me to discover the joys of Costa Rica and CRT along with other venues and I do not always have the money to spend on traveling but I figure out a way to make it work. Life is too short to always worry about money, and I do not want to be someone who is lying on their death bed, wishing they would have done more of the things they wanted to do, but were waiting for the right time or the extra money....... I might end up broke and poor but I will have some incredible stories and memories.

So sad to hear. We in San Antonio also recently suffered a personal loss. Life is too short, enjoy your family, friends, CRT brothers and CR!!! Trying to put a face with Muff as I have to have met him at the SL in my 11 trips.

As many have already stated, He was one of the most friendly, kind and generous persons one would be so fortunate to meet and know. He had so many experiences and visions in his life and would always share if one asked him to. I've overheard him a number of times sharing SJ info with seasonal and newbies alike....helped with their Spanish also. As a fellow Vietnam vet, we reflected on our experiences there but both of us refrained to talk about the gory details.

Several long time respected CRT'ers have died recently...leaving a void in the fabric of this venue and it's predecessor. Each one had their own personal influence on past and present members. I've never been a member of an organization/ group that there were so many friendships made and one that members would fly thousands of miles to not only be in country...but to meet up with fellow members.

With a tear in my eye, I will miss that wonderful man. My heart goes out to his family.
Lord, take care of Mario.

Respectfully,
Circus

Log in for the first time in months and I find out about people dying...three so far, two board members plus the Shoe Shine Guy....too damn many. RIP Mario, and condolences to those of you lucky enough to be his friend.
