there was a dead llama on the side of I-26 yesterday afternoon. It had clearly been hit by a car, and was clearly a llama.

WTF? Are they indigenous, or is someone farming them?

I don't know about South Carolina BD but in my area of southern Oregon they place an adult llama with a flock of sheep as their guard. The llama can kick the shit out of coyotes and other predators when they harass the sheep. However cougars do take them out often........Sounds like an escapee that was not highway smart!

llamas and alpacas live a block away from me and when the alpacas rut its sheer spectacle
sort of like pirates of the carribean when the guys used to chase the women (pc knocked that out years ago)
but the alpaca female screams this high pitched wail, she's not into it at all

Lots of llamas, alpacas, and all kinds of other critters being farmed these days. Or ranched.

Pretty well all of them have been a pyramid scheme at some time or another. Ostriches, emus, bison, all sorts of exotic import cattle, worms, pigeons, rabbits,....and the list goes on. A good breeding pair of ostriches was worth $25,000 at one time. Then a bit later $250. Now that's a quick way to lose the farm.

More casual slander from the Master Blaster of Disaster. I used bankruptcy as so many do as a strategic default to give myself a fresh start. I did it, modified my behavior and am now sitting pretty. I appreciate the Brotherly concern from PhonicsResurgent but it's not necessary--turn your attention to those who could benefit from your sage advice. I have no idea who that might be--doubtless a slim population approaching zero as a limit.
