A great thread resurrected. And it the earlier portion of the thread talking about people identifying themselves by theirs and others' CRT handles certainly rang true. Here is my observation; what I have noticed about CRT handles is that there was a time where anywhere in The Gulch, when you met another gringo hanging out, he/they would always ask your CRT handle immediately before or after your name as it was a given you were on CRT. My last few trips, CRT is not even mentioned by other travelers let alone handles discussed. Although still good, CRT definitely has a different vibe to it and really a nonstarter on trips anymore.
