Ok...for you experienced CR travelers, who have never been to the Philippines, this might sound like a stupid question, but being a CR newbie with PI experience, I am unsure what to expect on my (first ever) upcoming trip to CR.

Short version of the question: When does the clock start ticking?

In the PI, there isn't much of a clock. You pay a fee to the bar to allow the girl to leave early (Early Work Release, which technically, they are not allowing right now), and she goes with you for "short-time" (3hrs) or "long-time" (until sunrise or until her next shift starts, depending on how much she likes you). There are variations of the scheme, but that's the basic set up. Only when guys do a short-time does a clock even matter...and even then, I don't think it is strictly enforced by the girl. So...basically, if u get a girl early in the afternoon at the beginning of her shift, you have time to go to dinner, a movie, bar hop, dance, let her help you find another girl to join the party, bar hop, dance, ditch the new girl because she is a bitch, find another girl to join the party, bar hop, sing videoke, go back to the room/home, drink more, have some fun, pass out (never forgetting to lock your shit away), wake up, have more fun, fix breakfast, have more fun and if she still likes you and you aren't yet tired of her, to hang out and do whatever until she has to get ready for work again.

Of course, I do not expect the same experience in CR, but is it more like the States with a "Let's go...we're done, good-bye" attitude, or do the chicas like to hang out, drink, dance, party, have fun around the bars and then have fun back in the room?

Short version of the answer:

The clock starts ticking the minute you enter the bedroom. This is particularly true at massage parlors, where the time is kept by "an outside party", read the MP owner or his designee, not the chica. In places like Hotel del Rey or Sportsman Lodge, where the chica is a freelancer, the time is kept by the chica…how long she stays with you in the room depends on the deal you make with her (and other factors), but in general and unless otherwise negotiated, it is one hour for X$'s.

I agree... the working girls in the gulch tend to be more focused on watching the clock than the girls in AC or Subic. Pretty much what Bandon 843 said, the clock will start ticking when you enter the room in Costa Rica.

This doesn't apply to 100% of the girls, but pretty accurate. The majority of them are not interested in staying one minute longer than necessary. For these girls, this is strictly a job, a necessity to feed their Babi*s. Most are not interested in drinking, dancing, having fun, etc. They want to have a quick chat, go to your room, get you off, and go look for another customer or go home if late.

It's your duty to weed out these mercenary types and find the ones that are different. You do this by sitting them down and asking them some questions and seeing their reaction. Body language speaks louder than words. If they seem in a hurry in the bar, they will be that way in the room, NEXT! Use your instincts too, they are correct most of the time. And since you are paying, you must take control and slow them down if they are flying through a session at warp speed. This is why you NEVER pay upfront, especially with a girl you don't know well. Only at MP's do you must pay up front. With indy's, once you pay, you have lost any leverage you had. They don't care if you never call them again (in CR, the girls don't think that way) or you give them a bad review to your friends.

For most, there's really no clock (unless it seems like you won't ever finish), even though you negotiate by the hour. Having said that, be prepared to finish in the time negotiated or negotiate a longer session. Also, for most 1 hour means 1 shot. If you want multiple shots make sure you discuss beforehand. Basically, discuss everything that you want.

Taking your time during the interview and like Orange says watching her body language is one of the best ways to ensure that you will enjoy yourself. I made it a point to always tell a new girl that if she was expecting someone who was going to get off quick I was not the one, and she had better be prepared to spend some time with me, and not be in a hurry to leave. Also if she would be looking at her phone while talking with me I would tell her when we get to the room that gets turned off. Some will say I have a baby and I might get a call, to me that was a red flag and I would end the interview at that point.

I had a reputation at some of the MP's of paying for 2-3 hours for a girl. Yes they were girls I knew and had good experiences with previously. Sometimes we would leave grab a bite to eat then go back to the room but if we did that I always asked the person in charge if it was ok to leave with her and I would pay the house for the time she was occupied.

After learning to communicate better with the girls I had very few bad sessions, and the ones that were less than stellar, all had drank too much and were a little blitzed or down right shitfaced.
