Well, while I want to believe the best in people it is mis-spent. Did not want to use the safe based on a previous post by a trusted member but did anyhow. One day in to a long stay and opened the safe with what was told to me was the ONLY key to the safe and low & behold 60 mil is missing. I will begrudgenly carry my cash on my person from hense forth. And no, no one other than myself or housekeeping has has access to the room.....

Here we go again....

First, if this did happen then it is inexcusable. The obvious questions are: what did you do when you discovered this theft? Did you tell management? What did they do?

For the sake of fairness to the owners of Mona Lisa who are active sponsors on this board, please let us know the rest of the story. The outcome of how they handled it once they were told is the most important part.

Have to admire the compassion from MuffinMuncher..........(and Mona Lisa had just announced an extension of the $39.99 special) what's the old saying--The more things change-The more they stay the same.

Dman , thanks for posting this. While Mona Lisa is a nice hotel and Guy Grand is a nice guy, this info is just too much. Without this board, I would certainly stay at this hotel because of price but no way would I ever consider this place after all the thefts. Sorry for your $330 loss.

From the Thread title, I thought this was about a band...Bro Rac's got it right--the best way to not get robbed is to not have cash around. A daily trip to the ATM is a near-must--readily available and it doesn't take that much time.
Another idea (and it's not totally whack): Krazy-glue the safe door. CA debonder or acetone--found in nail-polish remover--will dissolve it. Doubt ordinary folks know this... https://sg.answers.yahoo.com/question/i ... 134AAJ0uWD

OK, so after reading about the thefts from the safes why wouldn`t you put your money in the casino safe? I was there for a month and that is what I did and had no problems. Come on guys use the grey matter a little bit more!

This situation has just gotten out of hand. As my man John Taffer from Bar Rescue would say, “Shut the Fùcking place down!”

Why should the customer have to go out of his way to prevent nefarious acts by hotel employees/management?
