LOL. Too obvious a solution--we're looking for complexity and contention.

Isn't it puzzling that the Sportsmen's Lodge can do so many things well - good food at a reasonable price, attentive service and a friendly atmosphere - but seems to be TONE DEAF when it comes to the music they offer on Friday nights? After a hiatus of several months, they recently brought back the same DJ who plays the same mix of annoying, Hip Hop, Electronica, BOOM BOOM music. And, the volume is so loud that it prevents normal conversation.

I am sure that the management of Sportsmen's Lodge offers this music to bring in more clients, but it has the opposite effect; it drives customers away. Compare this to how Evan luck used to pack them in each Thursday in the days he broadcast his show live on Radio Dos.

I would like to know if you share my view.

Here's an idea. You can pool your money and buy the Mona Lisa and play any type of music you want and at any volume.

Speak for yourself. I enjoy the SL BOOM BOOM music. It doesn't annoy me or drive me away... possibly because I'm not in SJO to listen to the same tired rock stuff I listen to in the States.

Anything the chicas enjoy and gets them going is OK in my book.

I wonder how many times the SL bartenders have heard this: Hello, I'd like a water on the rocks and could you please turn that music down.

If you wanna play with little girls(over 18 of course), you have to put up with little girl stuff. Like listening to music you don't like. Old and bitter is not the order of the day........ LAD is correct on this one.....

Yes, but if you like to speak with sign language with the chicas or only know two words of Spanish anyway, the loudness does not matter. You can just flash some bills and point to your room. Others like to get to know the girls a little prior to doing the deed.

When I am in SJ, I spend time in the evening at the SL just relaxing and having a few beers and something to eat. During one trip last year, the music was so loud that three employees of the SL asked Danny to turn it down (Bill was not there). Danny would not turn it down. Many guys, including me, left.

If the music in a place is at a volume that I can have a conversation without yelling, it can be any kind of music. I don't like rap, but I can tune it out if it is at a reasonable level.

IMO, I don't think the chicas like the music so loud that they can't talk to a prospective customer.

I've always thought the music was to loud there and have avoided it for that reason. I like the food but leave after I'm finished due to the noise level.

Plus the sight of Miamiheller in his two-tone Ricky Ricardo jacket and ball squasher disco pants would be enough to gag a dog off a gut wagon.
