Listen, far more vets agree with what BB57, Pops, and the 'older group' write than disagree. It is usually the 'newer' guys that get all rankled.

How did your grandfather explain things to you? If he was anything like the grandfathers I grew up hearing, it was in the form of "do it this way!". It is no different with the advice or experiences given here. Just read through em, and discard what doesn't work for you.

In other words, they are not telling you to do it their way, they are saying that it's how they operate, and it has worked for them for years. They also have long-time insights that we can only guess about. You've read my posts. I challenge em all the time about shit that doesn't mesh with what I have experienced (or just assumed). Sometimes they change my mind, and sometimes not.

BangBang knows his shit. He's been at it a long time, and though he is a cheap bastard, it works for him. It doesn't work for me personally, but I do not insult him about his age and stuff just because I disagree.
